Where I wish I was partying yesterday night: In the Ballroom of Villa Contarini-Camerini in Piazzola sul Brenta, to then wake up today in one of the other rooms and have a stroll in the park after lunch 🤩
The villa consists of numerous rooms, which are developed from the central body, where the Room of the Music is. Developed from an initial body by Andrea Palladio, it covers an area of 6,000 m² for a total of 144 rooms and it is one of the greatest Villas in the Veneto Region, also called The Versailles of the Veneto.
On the ground floor there is the Gallery of the shells, with the ceiling and walls adorned with real shells. The two parallel wings of the villa are divided into various communicating rooms, frescoed by Michele Primon first and Domenico Torti later with biblical and mythological themes, hunting scenes, mosaics and perspective games for guests' entertainment. Part of the rooms were restored or decorated ex novo in the nineteenth century by the Camerini Family.
The exteriors will follow 😎 🤙🏻 #Padova#VillaContariniCamerini#PiazzolaSulBrenta
