Time heals🙌🏾 but does it? .
I personally believe it does, but not in the way we all think. Time it’s not magic and there are no magic tricks coming your ways after something happens.
The thing with time, is how you take it and how you use it.
Some people say say it only makes the wound grow a scar, so whatever it is, It will always be there to remind you of what happened.
Some say if there’s pain, you just learn to live with it! Who knows right? .
I’ve learned that if you need time, take it! If someone around needs time, let them have it.
It comes down to this. You need to let it all out, you need to go through it over and over, you need to see it in different perspective so you can start learning, so you can see it with less pain, so you can see what that really did in your life, so you can maybe find the positive, or point out the negative and make new decisions. .
Also time has the power to show you how important some people or somethings are. whatever means something or has a role in your life will stay, and you’ll appreciate it more.
Whether is for forgetting, keeping, forgiving, holding on to, liberating.
Remember Time is precious and “Someone is sitting in the shade today” because someone planted a tree a long time ago” so be patient 🌿🙌🏾

Today was birthday. Funny really, because I’ve had little time to think about it. I planned a party long ago to celebrate, because usually I don’t plan ahead and then miss my opportunity.
I had an accident exactly a week before my birthday. A woman didn’t see me crossing and hit me with her car. I didn’t realize for days that I’d have to cancel my party. And once I cancelled it, I realized I had no plans. I was bummed. .
But I went on a short coffee date with Tommy today, bc he was trying to cheer me up. It was lovely. When he left, I stayed to journal. And my journal entry, like every other birthday entry started with: “Today is my personal New Year.” .
And although I am in pain and exhausted, I feel so grateful for this last year. This year was a year of so much growth, I met some of the best people I’ve ever been around in my life, I learned about strength and endurance. I saw my brother, who I hadn’t seen in so long, I let things go, I learned about relationships. I did the one thing on my bucket list (yay, NoLA), and really, looking back, I became the woman I’ve always dreamt of being. .
I may be at the beginning of my journey as the person I want to be, but I know and understand very well the lane I’m in, and the speed I’m going. .
I know that setbacks happen, they’ve happened, and they’ll continue to happen (hello, accident), but setbacks are only gifts, meant to teach you lessons, make you stronger, and to help you stay on your lane. .
I am so grateful for every person who has been a part of this past year. For every person who has put their money on me, who has kept showing up, who has believed in me, my business or our relationship. I truly feel like you were all chosen by my angels and guides to be part of my life, and I am so grateful. I hope that I have added value to your life as well. .
And my Tommy, you deserve an entire book dedicated to you about what you have done for me this year. Thank you, I love you. .
Thank you all for the birthday love, it has been a truly memorable 32nd trip around this earth, and here’s to a year of love, health, and massive success for all of us. Happy Romy’s New Year. 🥂🎉
More than just a sea of rosé, wines of elegance do exist in Provence. Château Simone in the tiny zone of Palette in Provence has been producing wines of nobility and breed for centuries now. The Grenache based reds and Clairette focused whites are age-worthy and often difficult to find, but worth seeking out. We’re so excited to include this wine in our Master Allocation for the upcoming season. #MAWineClub#chateausimone

One of my goals for this year was to do more public speaking outside of my regular teaching. Today I got a good start! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I gave a design talk this afternoon on finding the people that complement you, leaning into your weaknesses, and using your own strengths to help others in your professional world. It was a fun start to my year!
All that is left to bring you pain, are the memories. If you face those, you’ll be free. You can’t spend the rest of your life hiding from yourself; always afraid that your memories will incapacitate you, and they will if you continue to bury them.

At the time of its construction, the Washington Block was one of the tallest buildings in the city. It is a rare surviving example of an "isolated pier foundation," an engineering advancement that helped architects build tall. Its virtually intact limestone facade features extensive ornate detailing.⠀
