Have you ever experienced loss? The sense so profound it never leaves you, it rather becomes your life companion. We grieve because we have been deprived of something or someone. Crying might help giving your eyes a way to speak because your mouth can no longer explain how broken your heart and everything inside is. We mourn people and things we lost, we mourn an ideal we never had.... we might think we did. Loss comes in seemingly endless variety and we all eventually will lose one way or another. We will then surrender to the ocean of grief and its waves, at times calm and other times overwhelming. We will learn to swim in that ocean holding on to belief that whatever was lost is beside us every day, no matter what... What have you lost????
