When someone discredits you for a simple minded answer when it comes to bodybuilding – How did you gain that muscle? My answer was putting the consistently work in over the years with training, eating, and recovering while learning from trial and error to learn from my mistakes to make the proper adjustments so that I could keep progressing! So, if that answer is too simple for you, then there is a very good chance you’re overcomplicating things and not putting the work in! What I have seen over the years is people trying to find out the easy ways to it, when in actuality 9 out of 10 people that doesn’t exist! The secret is I didn’t quit and kept learning by putting the WORK into it! Results take a proper mindset to a plan, not a “how can a find the quickest, easiest way” to get there! Next time you ask a question and don’t like the answer, try not to discredit the result or the answer…but, chase the result with action, not mumbo jumbo! 💥 Wait for the BOOM 💥 😝

#throwbackthursday morning of Tampa Pro pre judging - my current training split has no direct triceps work. It’s 4 days per week:
Monday - back
Tuesday - chest/delts
Weds - off
Thursday - legs
Friday - shoulders/biceps
Sat&sun - off

We all get stuck in our own way of doing things when it comes to training, and I am no different. I just figured low back spasms, and tight hips were just a part of what I needed to deal with going forward. Even as a chiropractor, I need an objective opinion on what I was doing. By the way, I can diagnose anyone else with pinpoint accuracy.......myself?? Forget it, I can’t figure out my head from my ass. 😝
@ray_baker_ and I have always had good conversations in regards to spinal biomechanics, and how different structures move for the most optimal performance. After having elbow pain, low back stiffness, and chronic muscle irritation, I finally asked for some objective critique. We are basically starting from square one, but my body is quickly responding to the adjustments. I’ve rarely felt my low back get pissed off, and movements seem much more efficient.
I don’t care if you’re a seasoned Olympia pro or just learning to lift, we can always learn something new. You just need to be humble enough to ask, and absorb the information being provided. I’ve definitely had to take a few steps back (as you can see from the weight I’m using 😝)in my training, but I already know it will lead to leaps and bounds of progress.
The laws of attraction✨
Something I very much have engulfed my life around and is now permanently ingrained in my brain 🧠☝🏼What the laws of attraction essentially means is what you put out in the universe is what you’ll get in return (you get back what you put out there). Most people don’t realize that this begins the second you wake up to start your day. When you wake up with a positive thought or intention for your day you have put it out there in the universe to manifest itself to happen. Now imagine if you woke up and said, “ugh I have so much to do today, it’s going to be an overwhelming day.” By saying that and believing that, you now have begun your day with fret and anxiety and most likely, your day will now be overwhelming🤷🏼♀️ It sounds so simple but people have a hard time focusing their energy on the positive.
I can say with experience that living this mentality has got me connected AF with the universe. I’ve never been so self aware and it’s exciting to see the universe work with me as I continue this journey in life. .

How many reps? How much weight? How many sets? .
Here’s my number one rule to start...
Form First. It’s so important to have that fast firing neurological connection from your brain to the appropriate muscle more than anything else. When you can correctly perform the movement, activate the main muscle or muscle groups, have corresponding mobility and not neglect the integrity of any joints involved... well you’ve done it! You’ve built a great foundation to build off of. Even seasoned lifters, including myself, can get lazy in being conscious of these factors in the gym. Be careful about loading a faulty physique or repetitive movements that are incorrect. As busy people we try to save time and rush to get through our workouts but nothing is a worse time waster than an injury. 🤕 @glamgirlbikini

My face whenever somebody looks at me at the gym. 😂 Actually, I take it back, this is my look 24/7... I just amp it up a bit at the gym since I’m in the zone 😁 I refuse to live as half of myself because other people can’t handle all of me.. RBF and all 💘
Y’all don’t understand what this progression means to me! On the left I’m 2 weeks into prep and also 7 weeks out from my pro debut. Weighing around 130. On the right is today, in my off season where I’m just maintaining and training! Weighing 131lbs this morning. I swear I feel like my digestive system, metabolism and every system in me is on incinerate mode because I was steady eating some brownies and cakes yesterday. This off season, the last 5 months off, have been eye opening and I’m learning ALOT about what my body responds to. Plus I gave myself enough time to recover that going into prep in the next month or so I’ll be mentally and physically prepared! Super excited and happy to have tracked my progress the last few months. I’m not saying I tracked my food to a T, honestly, I barely even tracked, I just kept in mind what my proportions generally should look like and went based off of that and also ate whatever else I liked so long as my body seemed to respond well. I’ve discovered I do well with some things and others I don’t and it’s important to figure this out going into a prep for competition! Learn your body with your coach in a productive off season and you’ll have a successful prep! Can’t wait to see what my progress looks like the next month leading into the start of prep. 😁 .
