Iceland travel tip…
Pros of Renting a Car
1. You can go where you want to go (well, if weather allows).
2. You can choose the time schedule and change as much as you want.
3. You can make extra stops here and there.
4. It is usually cheaper.
5. More chances to meet locals.
Cons of Renting a Car
1. You might miss out on spots you didn’t know were worth stopping at.
2. A guide will not be there to tell you knowledge about the locations you visit.
3. You might spend longer finding location and or get lost.
4. You might not realize the distances.
5. Might not be able to reach difficult locations, like Highlands.
6. Gas is extremely expensive in Iceland.
Whether you’re planning to rent a car or take a guided tour, reach out and I’ll take care of it for you.
DAY 4: Exploring the eastern fjords! Drove past Lake Lagarfljót [no sea wyrm sighting today unfortunately] to visit the mighty Hengifoss, the third highest waterfall in Iceland. We had to walk uphill a couple of miles to get there but it was so worth it. The red stripes in the canyon wall are from a chemical reaction within the soil that occurred after a series of volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. Some pretty cool stuff. I mean...hot stuff? Around 2000F to be exact 🤷🏼♀️😎🌋🌋🌋
Standing in awe of the power and beauty of the universe, every cell of my body can’t help but be commanded to fully present. I breathe deep and the stardust settles as I am still. I recognize and experience the oneness I am with the force in front of me, with all of life. I am wild, I am powerful, I am free and I am unstoppable!
Mighty hat Lómagnúpur towers over the south of Iceland among the crystal blue glacial rivers and delta. So mighty, you could see this beast from the satellite image on google map, and from miles away when you travel the Ring Road. I tried for the first time to fly the #DjiMavic2Pro here, before my husband grabbed the remote and at 70m the strong wind warning beeped and the flight had to end - in a good way.

¿Las has visto?

One of my favourite things to do when I have a day off is to take a road trip. When you live in Iceland, it doesnt matter where you go, you always end up somewhere beautiful. Last week I went to Borgarfjörður, of course the road trip included a dip in water from a hot spring. This place @krauma_baths was very nice, the water comes from Deildartunguhver (try saying that!).
