Expand the toolbox of your core training! I see a lot of people leaving a lot on the table when it comes to training their core. And that’s like a Houstonian who didn’t go to Astroworld this year. Don’t be like that 👀
A lot of people spend their time in flexion ( seated, slumped, rounded shoulders) then they do a ton of crunches ( flexion) exercises because they believe that will work their abs. So not only are they not getting much out of their core training but they’re feeding what could be a dysfunction or bad posture by always shortening those abs muscles thus pulling them further into that rounded posture ——
There’s more to core training that flexion. Here I’m demonstrating an exercise on the GHD that resists lateral flexion. An incredibly challenging exercise with multiple ways of advancing it.
