So we finally got the final vet review. This is just copy and paste. 🙃😔
"Honey has lameness present in both hind limbs. As discussed, the recommended course of action would be to perform nerve blocks starting distally on the limb and moving proximally. However due to financial constraints, the flexion tests and the effusion (excessive joint fluid) present in Honey's stifles, we discussed starting with radiographs of her stifle. Radiographs revealed no significant arthritis or changes. Due to the fact that she has been rested for about a month and there has been no improvement in her gait, synnovitis (primary joint inflammation without bony changes) is unlikely. It is possible she has acquired a soft tissue injury around the stifle, or somewhere else in her hind end. At this point we would ideally recommend blocking one of her hind limbs to find the specific
location of the lameness, and possible acquring more radiographs, such as of her hocks.
Barring further diagnostics, we can suggest that she be rested, with no forced exercise for several weeks to allow her some time to heal from her injury. We also recommend starting
her on an NSAID to decreae her pain and inflammation such as bute or equioxx. As
discussed, the gold standard treatment would be to inject her stifles, which would involve
injecting 2 joints in each stifle with steroids, Hyaluronic acid, and a small amount of
antibiotics. This would remove any pain associated with her stifles. Stifle injections would
cost approximately $560 not including sedation" There you everyone. ✨ My broken baby 😔💕
I think Ms. Thang knew barrel boot camp was going to start today because she came up a little sore 🙄 so she was treated to a theraplate session instead (I promise I ride them, but videoing them in turn out is a lot easier lol).
