On Saturday I had little Arielle in the studio for her 5.5 month session. She was awesome :) Thank you Eb and Brayden for coming in. Here is a link to your sneak peeks :) https://michaelokphotography.com/blog/arielle-s-5-month-old-session
It's not a perfect photo - I know what you’re thinking “that's no way to start a post on a photography page” ... but it's the truth.
You see, 2 out of 4 of the faces are blocked and the other 2 have aperture blur.
They are facing away from the light so less than 1/3rd of their faces are lit.
The session was a newborn session and well quite frankly you may have missed that there's newborn in the photograph
But you know what? I love it, I truly love it.
If I abided by all the "photography rules" I would miss moments. Moments that resemble your family.
This image shows life, it shows connection, it shows that when your 2nd bundle of joy comes along your love is not split in two - it doubles!
So here's to more captured pictures of family moments.
Tonight on the blog we have some fresh inspiration for you in the form of an interview with one of our members, Marlene Sayson. Marlene is a photographer & filmmaker from Melbourne and she’s kindly shared her journey to becoming a family filmmaker and why it’s so important to her.
You can read the full interview & see more of Marlene’s work by hitting the link in our profile. Swipe across to watch Marlene’s favourite film (and just quietly, it’s one of our favourites too! So beautiful!)
