Beware! Nature is dangerous. You get addicted too easily once you find out how calm and surreal it can get. Let alone the harmonies that fill the air and the tranquil breeze that cut through you to fill your heart. Beware!

Digged back my pictures from a decade old life stored in bits and pieces in social networks and I found the same old, old same! I loved sarees, food, books, Kolkata. I still do!
What exactly I was doing on Jan 16, 2009 at 10:45 pm? Was I standing in a jam packed bus and cursing endless traffic at Behala Tram depot? Or had I shifted to Salt lake already and finishing assignment for next day's class?
Was I stuggling to get a new VGA camera phone? Was I finding to make my way through a "reducing" relationship?Trying to save my life from a stalker? Fighting an unsupportive lot of circumstances, overtly critical group of people around who could not eat my choice of career?
Was I lost?🤔 Did I want things to end soon or was okay to wait to turn them better?
I do not recall everything. But I know things were not always rosy with a travel plan ready, even before one vacation ends. Like these days! "I was a fucked up girl who is looking for my own peace of mind!" I am happy things changed in 10 years and I feel empowered like never before. My ever OTT anxeity level has bid a happy adiue. My confident self has said Hello, i am here to stay! I can now say NO without guilt and live by that.
I have started to live by my own terms in ten years! It happened slow but steady, gradually. And you? How did the last 10 years have shaped you?
Are you cocooned in your own happy place?
So we have moved to Cherrapunji now. The real fun begins from now. The first one that I want to share is the Rainbow falls. It is named so as you could see a nice Rainbow at the falls if you reach when the sun at the top of your head - around 12 pm.
Swipe to see the rainbow in the falls. Natural pools. A trek route through huge roots.
To reach to the rainbow falls one needs to trek for around 3-4 hours. You drive to the Tyrna village and from there trek down to the Double Decker living roots bridge (This counts for another post - coming soon). From there it is another 1.5 hrs trek to the Rainbow falls.
We started a bit late in the morning and hence reached the Double decker bridge around 12 noon. But we didn't want to miss the falls. Even if we don't see the rainbow, but the falls milestone had to be unlocked. So without any further delay, we started our trek to the falls. We were literally running. .
Panting and exhausted, we reached there.
As soon we got the first glimpse of the falls... We forgot all the pain. Such waters! First time in my life! So clean. So serene! .
Also, besides the falls, we had small natural swimming pool. We couldn't control ourselves from a dip in the chilled pool. To our luck we found a group that had come with life jackets. So we quickly rented out those and had a gala time 🏊.
Dusk is just an illusion because the sun is either above the horizon or below it.

After the long tiring journey from Delhi to Narkanda, we finally got hotel Sara to stay. Instead of taking rest, I took time lapse of sunset from my balcony and rushed to this spot to capture this magnificent dusk.
