I just wanted to let people know that fat shaming doesn’t help people lose weight. If anything, it just makes them doubt themselves even more. If you are going to the gym or starting a hike journey like myself, most people will not judge you for your weight. But there will be those handful of people that do. Please do not let those people discourage you from accomplishing your goals or continuing your journey to better yourself.
There were two women on my hike yesterday that made fun of me. Mostly because I was panting and looking pitiful trying to walk up the trail. Cody told me to shrug it off and keep going. I told him, “I look so stupid. I’m overweight and can’t do this.” Cody told me it was going to be hard at first, but starting anything new is always hard. Practice makes perfect.
No, I do not have a fit body and I get easily tired but I’m going to continue my journey to be a mountain girl. I will train more and fight more even if some think I can’t. Because at the end of the day, I’m doing this for me, my health and overall happiness. ⛰ •

Baby it’s cold 🌨 outside & windy💨Hiking the hilltops of the Dingle Peninsula.*
👉Hiked Esk Tower up a grassy hilltop and through cow pies and sheep droppings to have the best view of the land of my ancestors - the Dingle Peninsula*
👉There is no trailhead marker or sign for the hike. On slea head drive, turn left 1km past Dingle bridge at the sign for “leather maker” then follow this road to the end until you reach a farm with sheep and a run down shack asking for a 2 euro hike donation to hike their land to Eask Tower.*
👉 The Eask Tower is a solid stone tower on the top of Carhoo Hill, in County Kerry, Ireland, over-looking Dingle harbour. It was built in 1847 and has a wooden hand pointing to guide ships into the mouth of the blind harbour to their destination.*
👉Travel tip: Slea head drive is about a one hour loop drive starting from Dingle, and following the coast for about 30km. It has the best views this side of Ireland has to offer.*
Make the time to do what sets your soul on fire. Maybe you haven’t quite figured that out yet, but you only have one life, so go. Figure it out. Be bold. Be brave. Don’t settle for a mediocre life. Life can get complicated and responsibilities can hold you back but at least have a dream & always be taking small steps towards it.
