Single leg resisted no rotation lift ⚡️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A fantastic demo of my client, it's one of my favorite dynamic exercises to develop greater lower body stability, maintain posture & improve anti-rotation. Which aids in eliminating swing characteristics like sway, slide, early extension. Therefore can provide more consistency on the course ! Solid stability in the lower body also prevents lower back & knee overuse injuries from occurring. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My client has a tendency to overcompensate his lower back, aka not engaging core, pelvic floor and tilting his pelvis forward. But it's something very common I see with golfers who also played a lot of other sports. By keeping his knee up high we facilitate a neutral pelvis so he doesn't go as easily into lumbar extension/anterior pelvic tilt. And ofcourse challenges balance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try adding this full body stability movement post dynamic activation warm up and before going into heavier lifts this off season. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Its Time to get used to this but specific golf strength & conditioning isn't just for the pro's. Enthusiastic recreational golfers benefit so so much from adding a gym component too. It helps them play longer without pain with more fun and even hit the ball further. #yardsandyears ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have achievement without celebration, you are chasing achievement for achievement’s sake.
Achievement is built on the celebration of progress.
Sometimes in life it feels like we’re not getting anywhere. It is during these times that we need to celebrate what we’ve gained.
The couple of kilograms less on the scales. The couple of chapters of the book. These are all things you should notice and appreciate.
It is from these that you then build the body you desire or the book you want to write.
Take some time here at the end of the week, to celebrate the progress you’ve made.

It’s the end of the week and you know what that means… finishing the week off with a massive effort -a high intensity interval training session.
This weeks session consisted of 6 exercises, 40 seconds work and 30 seconds rest for three rounds. Not too much for the legs as my calf is a little sore today (🏀).
Fitwall animal squats
V-sit with pulse
Mace military press (alternate 3 reps)
MB side to side push up
Battle rope double slams
MB oblique throws (each side)
Quick tip: I see so many people compromise on form doing any sort of V-sit action - letting their pelvis tilt back. You’ve keep your chest up, shoulders back and maintain a slight arch in your lower back if you want to do this one right. .
Admitting that I see both my best friend and my greatest enemy when I look in the mirror has enlightened and empowered me deeply. Cheers to the journey of self-mastery 🌱
