Today I am #grateful for a nice afternoon walk. -
It was a beautiful afternoon for a stroll. The air was crisp and the skies were clear. It was amazing!
Do you like going for walks? It’s been something I didn’t appreciate until recently. Now it’s something I look forward to. -
That’s me for today. Now it’s your turn. What are you grateful for?
This is a reminder of our trip to San Diego. For me, it represents fun, sun, and healing- as well as everything #highperformance related. With times being tough at the moment, I still buckle down and exercise, rest, and make steps in various projects I have going on. Tonight I asked FB for support for the first time. I've been subtly starving and lacking sustenance for a month now... Which isn't a good combo when you're sick and trying to regain strength to work again! As soon as I opened up online, so much help came my way. I can't remember ever feeling this relieved and cared for by a community before. It's an amazing feeling and I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who reached out!! This act of kindness will be forever cherished, and I will pay this forward in the future for sure.
With #nedaweek approaching, it's only fitting I ask for food- whereas 10 years ago I would have just starved and hidden.
It's nice to know I've made Progress! And I consider this the most broke, sick, and hungry I will ever be. Ever. "As God as my witness, I'll never go hungry again!"

Enviu is an organisation based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Founded in 2004 by Stef van Dongen, they partners with Dutch universities to identify ideas with potential and with other organisations who can use those ideas. Since then they have been frontrunners in the field of social enterprises creating impact. It was a fruitful meeting, and we're looking forward to work with them in the near future #collaboration#enviu#zerowaste#highperformance#sustainableliving
Blood Flow Restriction Training; brought to you by our resident 🇸🇪 Swede.
Tie off above the agonist muscle group - Pick a light weight and go:
30 sec rest b/w
The Swede @krillekrallig did his undergrad thesis on BFR training and whilst it’s a bit outside my usual training program it’s a game changer for anyone with achy joints.
For those interested BFR training works primarily in 3 ways:
1️⃣ Mechanical tension: 30% 1RM means the mechanical stress on joints is low.
2️⃣ Metabolic stress: By cutting the blood supply you deprive the oxygen hungry slow twitch fibres of their fuel, forcing the anerobic fast twitch fibres to take over. Lactic acid and hydrogen ions pool in the muscle.
3️⃣ Cell swelling: When blood returns, cells within the muscle swell with plasma which ultimately forces adaptation. & then you get massive.

A groundbreaking study from the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, found that weight bearing leg exercises may play a key role in brain and nervous system health.
According to the researchers, leg exercises send signals to the brain that are vital for the production of healthy neurons.
The study supports the notion that in people unable to do load-bearing exercises - e.g. bed-ridden subjects - not only muscle mass but also the nervous system is negatively impacted.
