My siblings 👉🏼the Davis family were registered in ALL the races. 💃🏻🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️The Salt Lake Classic, The Deseret News 10k, The Gobbller Gallop...you name it 👉🏼we were there. I have so many memories after the race getting a massage and taking pix with our medals! 🏅 and then I went on to be a cheerleader for and dancer for 11 years!!! #wsucheerteam#wsudance@weberstate 🎖🥇 I feel lucky to be able to work out...and I know it's hard... but it is so worth it to make the time. OUR APPEARANCE isn't all that matters, but how we FEEL means everything...am I right!?? I am so happy to tell you that 2 years ago, I ran my first half marathon and a couple years before that I ran 13 miles in the Wasatch back relay with my sibs + cousins! Sooo much fun!!! We were small but MIGHTY tonight! We had so much room to moooooove! I totally get December is hard. We have commitments and appointments and parties and shopping and we’re TIRED (🙋🏼♀️) so please don’t beat yourself up for not making it to class. I mean, I obviously want you all here every night. But guilt is one of the biggest motivation killers and it piles on top of itself and can become so heavy that we sometimes just give up. Don’t do that. We have enough shit to deal with in life. Just promise yourself you’ll do some squats before bed, maybe a burpee, maybe some push-ups. Then check your calendar and make dates with yourself to get some workouts in. If not for your butt cheeks, then for your mental health. Remember that? Take care of you, go easy on you, and come back to me when you can. I’ll be here with no judgment and wide open arms! 🤗
Two of my favorite moves are Tuck Jumps and Burpees. In my classes, I try to stress how important it is to have good form . It isn’t about how you can get if your form is terrible . Below is an awesome reminder of how to achieve the proper tuck jump so you can fly high from @highfitnessidaho .

When we want to turn the intensity up a notch we look no further than a tuck jump!
The addition of tuck jumps to either a cardio or a cardio push is one of the best ways to quickly spike your heart rate; helping torch calories and rid fat. This explosive movement initiates all the major muscle groups and helps build incredible strength in the legs and core.
To bring them from just tiring to effective we have to do them right - even they they’re usually quick!
Start with your feet apart and your chest up. Drop your butt back down with your weight evenly distributed through your feet. Drive your arms up and push off the balls of your feet, while you lift your knees as you land to absorb the impact rolling through feet-toe, ball, heel.
Practice a few slow before class to get a feel for form then in the moment you will rock it!

Tuesday is a strength-training day for me and I love to lift alongside @danicawright24 💪🏻💪🏻❤️! .
It's not really a surprise, but group fitness is my jam 😉 and my favorite weights class is Body Pump by Les Mills. Five years ago I started as a total newbie and I was like, "A clean and what?!" This class gave me confidence in strength-training and a love for it as well. I look forward to every Tuesday morning! Thanks for the 6am burner @jaxxattack !
Oh and that lady in the back was all like, "you go girls!" 😉

“Why I High” -
Oh how I could go on and on about this. Like many, I found High Fitness at the perfect time in my life. I was experiencing a lot of change at the time and had a hunger to feed my soul on an individual level, which I had lacked for many years before. It was time for me to really dig deep, recenter and connect with myself. It was right around this same time that I walked in to my first High class with @highfitnessemily@dancerleslie & @soshantasticfitness - hello powerhouse. That’s where it all began:
• THE COMMUNITY: I could feel a difference the moment I walked in. The vibe in that studio, among the classmates, you could feel the energy buzzing. I was welcomed with open arms to a group that loved what they were doing. A group that lifted everyone around them, pushed each other a little more than they knew they could, and brought smiles to every human in the room.
• THE SUPPORT: It didn’t take long for me to certify and start teaching. I loved everything about High Fitness. And when I didn’t think things could get any better, my love for philanthropy and fitness collided. I can’t tell you how many fundraisers and support classes go on across our #highfitsociety - it is unreal, and makes my heart explode. The community is always coming together to lighten someone else’s load and be of support in any way they can. It’s beautiful and how our world should be.
• THE FUN: In addition to the amazing community and support we all provide to each other, High Fitness has weekly track releases which keeps things fresh and fun, and keeps your muscle confusion at a constant. You get lost in the music since they’re tracks that people know and love - and it turns in to a ‘feel good party’! Those endorphins spike, and you ride that high - this is real! Those of you who’ve been to class know what I’m talking about!
If you haven’t been to a High class, I invite you to come join me. I love sharing what I’m passionate about and you will feel this. It is #whyihigh 💛⚡️

A year ago from yesterday I certified to be a High Fitness instructor! What a great memory. It was so spontaneous and unlike me to do something like this but SO perfect for what I needed/wanted in my life. Thanks to my hubs @indiejordan for supporting me in all my random endeavors! Form Check! Runners Lunge is a simple stretch to increase flexibility and assist in recovery after exercise. Make sure to keep that front leg bent at a 90 degree angle! Don’t let those knees pass over your toes! Also remember to keep your knee on the inside of your hands, or as I like to say “put your knee in your armpit!” 😜 💙:Macey
