Fucking Psyched. Taking my 1RM, 92.5kg for a smooth PB Double. 7th and final set of progressive #Heavybench doubles. Last strength cycle I don’t think I even hit my old 1RM for a single without being peaked or rested and I hit this on my second bench day this week. Slight misgroove on the way up on the second rep, elbows flared out but still moved well. Had Block Press and accessories after. BW; 208.6lbs | 94.6kg. Peaking is fun but bench peaking might be the best. Here is my 2nd set of four. One rep at 175 kg (385 lbs.) This has been my opener at my last few meets but I think I am going to go up a bit for this one. My setup feels very solid and my heavy benches don’t feel too different than my warmups. Trying to keep the legs tight. My grip was a little narrower here but I still felt strong. It is only a finger-width but I plan on playing around with my grip width to find the best for me. I also have a board press at 180 kg (396 lbs.) Board press is nice because my sticking point is pretty high up in the press where my triceps are not strong enough to push through. Apparently yesterday was international bench day, but that didn’t work with my schedule, so I moved it to today. I haven’t posted a bench video in a while so you’re probably wondering “do you even lift bro?”
The answer is simple, only when it suits me. Probably why this 385 single was so sticky.

I’ve never gone 9/9 in a meet yet, this was the most amazing meet ever and I am so happy I took the chance to have a short prep for this and give it my all. Everyone knows I’ve been wanting that bench press record. Weighed in at 70kg, ate some pb&j and some bananas and went for it. My handler @lisaperry19 was in control of all of my 2nd and 3rd attempts, because I need to just not know (as you can see it pays off). We took a chance on that last squat and it was easy to bring it back up! For bench we took the conservative route cause I wanted a good chance to take the record, and I moved 209 like it was my best friend. And for deadlifts, we matched my nats PR which I am happy with! It was such a good day, I just wanna thank my handler for being AMAZING and having fun with me. I owe you one!!! Everyone who gave me high fives in the warm up room and pumped me up, and also everyone at the gym for putting up with my tantrums. @zonesmellingsalts for assaulting my nose and hyping me up. And most of all, a huge thanks to my coach @taylor_cbb we have made such huge strides in 7ish months, I can’t wait to see what another 7 hold! Also, thank you for make my bench press monsterous!

661 deadlift 429 bench 567 squat. Went 8/9 on my lifts and didn’t aggravate my hamstring injury so my first meet was a success! Shout out to the random dude who was commenting on my posts that my squats wouldn’t count in a meet. Guess he was wrong 🤷🏽♂️. I had like a 440 Wilks which is good maybe? Idk lmao. I also got drug tested which is pretty lit 😎. Nothing like strangers looking at my scared pp. Overall awesome experience! I can’t wait to compete again! All the lifts are on my story but these are the heaviest that counted. OH!! And huge shout out to everyone that competed there! Everyone was super friendly which was awesome. Someone even let me try using their ammonia which was interesting to say the least. It felt like satan farted into my nostrils and I inhaled his flaming ass gas which gave me a pretty big rush lmao.

Tag someone with a terrible bench 🤪. 365 for 9. This was my first time ever benching with a belt. Almost everyone does it so I figured I’d try it for shits. Idk if it was all in my head but I felt like it really did help. Before this set I literally told my mom “I haven’t PR’d in a while, I should PR right now” 😂. Two months ago I could only do 7. I’m beyond hungry for a 500+ bench and a 1800+ total. I’m gonna be pushing it 120% for the next few months.
