Tomorrow, I begin a “new” journey. When I say new, I don’t mean completely new, but I’m flipping over another chapter in my story. I have struggled with my weight for years and years! I’ve tried so many different programs for weight loss! I’ve followed different meal plans! I’ve tried strictly counting calories only! I’ve tried not counting and just praying the weight would fall off. It’s been a struggle as the pounds have continued to accumulate and my self-esteem has plummeted. •
I’ve decided that I’m done taking my health for granted. I’ve decided to take a stand not only for my MENTAL HEALTH but also my PHYSICAL HEALTH. I believe the two are c o n n e c t e d! So, as part of my self-care I am changing my life-style! I am excited to announce that Joyce has agreed to train me both in NUTRITION and FITNESS. •
Someone once told me that if you want something bad enough, you’ll make that “thing” happen. So, I’m committing to a new lifestyle. Does that mean I won’t ever have another donut? Of course not! But, it DOES mean that I’m taking my health seriously and that means starting to cut out the unhealthy junk that I’ve been consuming lately. •
Anxiety ➡️ depression ➡️ anger ➡️ emotionally consumes anything and everything ➡️ low self-esteem ➡️ anxiety & REPEAT. •
I want to break that cycle. And it all begins with me. Will you come on this journey with me? Will you encourage me? Will you be my accountability partner? PLEASE, help me live my very best life! •

1. Para la salsa:
👉🏻1/4 de cebolla
👉🏻 oregano, perejil, sal y pimienta
Picar todo y poner en una olla a fuego lento
2. Poner al tostador el pan de almendra para que empiece a tostarse
3. Una vez lista la salsa untarla en el pan.
4. Ponerle albahaca fresca y mozarella fresco y meter de nuevo al tostador.

Does anyone else feel this way?
Whether it is work stress or travel stress, don’t let it bring you down. Focus on things you can control vs not (like flight cancellations or delays). When I’m having a bad workday or I’m frustrated about things out of my control, I think of how far I’ve come along on my fitness journey. My progress is all due to MY determination and MY actions. This gives me peace of mind and puts things into perspective when I know my priority is my health over anything else.
You’ve brushed your teeth, washed your face, turned down the covers and you’re ready for a good night’s sleep... That is, until you actually get in bed and you can not fall asleep. No amount of counting sheep or closing your eyes is helping. What can you do? 😴change your diet: a lot of people don’t realize their diets are keeping them from falling asleep. Before you go to bed, you need to really drop your carbohydrate consumption. If you’re consuming too many sugars and carbs, your body is burning through those and getting warm, which prevents you from comfortably going to to sleep. That means you must lower your sugar, grain and overall carbohydrate intake before bed.
😴increase healthy fats, magnesium, and potassium before bed. Also, these are all important in maintaining healthy sleep patterns and stopping insomnia.
😴reduce stress: yes, easier said than done, but there are many ways to do this: exercise (not too close to bedtime, yoga (especially restorative), meditation. Also, try putting on soothing music or a guided meditation as you drift off to sleep.
😴ET, don’t phone home: leave all of your electronics out of the bedroom. If you have a TV, do not turn it on. All of these things have been shown in research to disrupt the REM sleep cycle. 😴put down the wine: you may think it’s helping you pass out— and it very well may, but booze disrupt the bodies natural circadian rhythms. 😴drink warm milk (whichever variation) with ghee: this soothing combination (and healthy dose of fat) has the ability to put you to sleep like a baby.
😴drink ACV: one tablespoon of ACV with a glass of water a little bit before bedtime. Some people find that drinking this mixture just before bedtime helps them to get to sleep quicker and sleep much longer. Although it is not known exactly how or why this works, there are enough people who swear by this remedy to give it some credence.
😴bedtime stories: reading before bed often has the ability to lull us to sleep like when we were children. Just maybe stay away from those murder mysteries! 😴use essential oils:.......

say hello to my GREEN PEA BREAD 🌱💚🍞💁🏼♀️ its savoury and super simple to make. here’s what you need:
250g green peas, steamed
1 tsp ground coriander
genours pinch sea salt
200g oat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder + apple cider vinegar
preheat oven to 160°C. puree peas, eggs, coriander, salt in a blender. combine with oat flour, baking powder and apple cider vinegar. pour into a lime loaf tin and bake for 45 minutes. let it cool before flipping it over. cut a CHUNK and enjoy. happy bread making 😋
Happy Sunday friends! Woke up craving overnight oats but I didnt have any prepped and I woke up HUNGRY! I decided to have a snack to hold me over then I prepped some overnight oats, took a shower and by the time I got out— they were ready!🙌🏻.
What’s in my bowl?!— Old fashioned oats mixed with 1 tsp chia seeds, 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt, 1 tbsp cinnamon bun protein, 1/3 cup almond milk, 1/2 frozen banana (so good in oats🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻). Topped with peaches, berries, granola, and sunflower seed butter 🍑 mhmm!!!! #becksliveshealthy
