‘Il be happier when I get back to my goal weight’
‘Il be happier when I get my hair done’
‘Il be happier when I’ve got a tan’
Newsflash...... no you won’t. Starting any sentence with ‘il be happier when’ shows there will always be more you need to be happy. .
These jeans were a little bit tighter than usual this morning and I could have turned that into regret from going all out over Christmas and used that as an excuse to hinder my happiness and potentially ruin my Friday. OR squeeze them on in nothing but happiness & gratitude with where I am right now. .
‘There was a time when exactly what you have right now was everything that you wanted’. .
2 years ago today I would have only dreamed about living & working in Sydney, weekends on the beach with friends, eating all the food and enjoying all the wine, apartment views into the city. Technically I am living my 24yr olds dream life.... and I actually am. .
Don’t beat yourself up over a temporary and changeable situation in any area of life. Instead, focus & drive towards showing up daily as the best ‘you’ there is. .
Focus on happy NOW

💫 Small steps lead to massive leaps! 💫⠀
Sometimes, big changes start with small shifts. Studies show that you are more likely to achieve your goals through small changes over time than by shocking the system with leaps and bounds!⠀
Whether you are wanting to be more active, eat better or simply find more time in your day for your loved ones, a healthier and happier you doesn’t have to mean a total lifestyle makeover!⠀
I remember listening to Susie O’Neill on the radio one day talking about how she used to run those few extra meters further every day than everyone else to increase her endurance, which in the long run built up to playing a part in her success.⠀
Here are some places to start!⠀
💫 Get up an hour earlier one day a week and go for a walk⠀
💫 Be more social – book in that extra coffee catch-up with a friend, or chat with your mum for 10 minutes⠀
💫 Go to bed half an hour earlier – and turn off your screens earlier while you’re at it!⠀
💫 Add in more veggies to one meal a day⠀
💫 Park a street away from work and walk those few extra meters
Your diet does not determine whether you will get sick or whether you will heal. We all know someone who, despite eating healthy and exercising still got struck with cancer. Or that person who manages to eat the ultimate unhealthy diet and still not get sick. These people are not just lucky, they are not just blessed with good genes. Diet is not the determining factor. For optimal wellbeing, of course, it is important to eat nourishing foods, but how you feel about your diet and about yourself for eating that diet has a far greater impact on your health than what you are actually eating. 🍏🥑💚 continue drinking all the celery juice if it makes you feel good, but if not, understand that it is not the missing puzzle peace to healing.
When you feel separated from someone, essentially when you 'lose touch'; a relationship ends, a loved one moves far away, someone passes away, a baby is separated from her mother, a toddler is left at daycare, the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin) begins a process of ulceration. This is microscopic so it is not drastic or visible, but can become dry and flaky if ongoing. This creates a temporary loss of sensation in that area to help the individual cope with the 'loss of touch'. Once the issue is resolved; a re-uniting occurs, one comes to terms with a loss, a new relationship is established, the skin goes into healing. The lost skin cells are now replenished. As with all healing this happens with swelling, tenderness and pain. The eczema now becomes visible and we can see that 'something is wrong', but in reality it is a healing. Vicious cycles can become established if an individual continues to re-experience a separation or is reminded of the original separation and the resulting inflamed skin is also termed #DERMATITIS. This whole process is identical during a conflict of 'wanting to separate' from someone or something, and if the separation is particularly brutal or severe it can also cause #vitiligo.
Your body is always seeking to heal itself, but we often have the tendendy to get in the way. Learn how to work with your self-healing ability and you will never have to be afraid of your symptoms again.
Eating clean every once in a while won't make you feel nearly as great as eating clean every day will. Working out every once in a while won't make you feel nearly as strong as working out regularly will. Eat your veggies and get in your workouts 🍅🍆💪 Your body and mind will thank you!

“So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.” ― Neil Gaiman
