🎉😍HAPPY TAILS😍🎉 Willow was an unclaimed stray at the Sapulpa animal shelter with very cloudy eyes, but it turned out she was a young gal! Dr. Robert Gwin of Animal Eye Clinic in Tulsa offered to see her. She was diagnosed with an inflammatory condition of her eyes that would require eyedrops for the rest of her life to clear up and control the cloudiness of her corneas. A foster home got her regimen started. Then, Willow was adopted by Scott and Suzanne. They have continued her eye care and she is doing wonderfully! We knew it wouldn't take long for our happy hound, Lucy to get noticed!  Lucy, the lovable basset hound, came to us just a few weeks ago when, at 8 years old, this sweetie pie found herself in need of a new home.  Her owner became ill and no one in her family could take her in.  Lucy did her best to not let it get her down, and she turned on the charm for everyone she met.  Soon enough, she was making lots of friends and was offered a great home!  Lucy has gone off to start her new life and we want to wish her and her new family many happy and healthy years together!  Congratulations Lucy and family! #newhome #happytails #bassethound #dogs #happyfamily #adopted #adoptdontshop

Lost 2/11/19 - Home 2/18/19 Grand Island, NY Jack went on a nice little adventure for a week! There was a few sightings of Jack, but anytime he saw someone he ran. He was seen by a nice man who left food out for him and his garage open for him too. He was spotted running through the brush in a field not to far from his house. He had a little vacation and then returned home. This morning he walked into his garage and scratched on the door to come in. He is on his way to be checked out at the vet. He looks great and his family is soo happy he is HOME! We had several cameras up and we just went to collect them. The area he was in was quite large. We put up a few extra cameras. He was on the cam around 2am eating the yummy food. The path this was on wasnt too far from his house. Reunited in Weddington, NC! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "My husband, Lee was getting ready to take the 3 dogs, Dash, Bo, and our son’s dog, Roscoe out to potty one evening. As the garage door slowly opened, the dogs saw deer in between our house and the neighbors. Roscoe stayed, but Dash and Bo immediately broke free chasing the deer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lee quickly put Roscoe back in the house, but, Dash and Bo were in the woods across the street faster than lightning. There is a small creek that stopped Dash, but Bo was able to jump it with ease and he was gone. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After our efforts were fruitless, I decided to stay home and keep watch while Lee, our kids, and neighbors continued searching. I began posting on social media and our neighborhood sites. That was how I found PawBoost and immediately set up an account. I was so grateful because it was one more thing that could help me get the word out. PawBoost made me feel like I was contributing to the search in a real way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By 1am, there wasn’t much more that we could do since it was so dark out. The next morning, Lee went out searching for Bo beginning at 5:30am. He walked all over the woods and streets multiple times, even retracing areas he’d already been. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After about 4 hours of searching, he happened to see some crows flying over an area where he hadn’t looked. Could the crows be leading him to a dead carcass? That’s when he saw him sitting there looking directly at him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bo didn’t recognize him at first because he was wearing a toboggan, scarf and coat, so he took them off. Then, Bo immediately recognized him, but his leash was caught on a limb and wrapped around a small tree. He didn’t bark, but wagged his tail like crazy and when Lee ran to him, he licked him ferociously. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We are so incredibly thankful for the crows and grateful for all the prayers for his safe return and recovery. We truly believe God sent those crows to lead Lee to Bo." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Spread the good news! Thank you to everyone who shared Bo's alert. With a heart full of joy and happy tears in my eyes, I announce that Orca has finally found his forever home. His new name is Oreo and he has tiny human of his own ❤️ . _ My tiny bottle baby from last spring waited 10 long months for this day. I miss his crazy head butts and his snuggles. But this is the day we live for. Seeing them grow up against all odds, surviving and then thriving makes everything worthwhile. _ Orca came to me as a day old neonate last April along with Alfie and Checkers. In a span of 40 days I picked up 17 bottle babies that spring. The feeding frenzy was epic. By the time I was done with number 17, number 1 would be hungry again and number 7 would have a poop explosion. It was the extremely hard. But I pushed through and Orca was the LAST of that 17 to leave this house. _ I still have quite a few that are awaiting forever home and a few that are still on the process of getting ready for adoption. Meet Destiny. Destiny & her sister Karma found themselves dumped in a kill shelter in Kentucky (due to no fault of their own, they were just unwanted) when a wonderful foster family here (in IL) opened their home and hearts to both of them. Destiny, however, is the more cautious and shy one as she is afraid of things she doesn’t know. She is more comfortable inside with her foster brothers, sister and the humans but she is getting used to the outside world. She is in a foster home with older children, and other dogs. She does very well with them. She also has had no accidents in her crate, she's doing extremely well with house training, walking well on a leash, she is food motivated and is learning things very quickly. She will need a patient family that will show her what it truly means to be loved. Could you be her forever home? Ruby ( now Miss Penny Pie) was originally surrendered by a young lady who had taken her and her 3 puppies in from a family who could not properly care for them. On arrival, she was so excited to meet all of the staff and the volunteers. She greeted everyone with lots of kisses and ear nibbles! She even let us hold her pups who are ready for their new homes now thanks for her paw-some mothering. Unfortunately, she tested positive for Heartworms. Our staff knew that even with heartworms, she would charm her way into a family’s heart with her gentle kisses and sweet personality. Last week, we saw a post from @nycacc about a gentle-giant senior mushy boy waiting at the shelter for a home. And then yesterday, he became a FOSTER DOG! Welcome to @fosterdogs, Baloo (formerly Storm) 🐻. He was a staff-favorite, literally had a “Staff Pick of the Week” tag on his kennel 🏅 (walking out the door, half a dozen ACC employees ran over to say goodbye!). What a handsome #ManCrushMonday 😍 Baloo is 7 years old, currently recovering from kennel cough, has some dermatitis to clear up, is dog-friendly, loves belly scratches, gentle and chill, and enjoys walks outside. He’s the 3rd senior we’ve pulled as a #NewHopePartner this year, and more to come (all “bears” so far: Yogi, Smokey, and Baloo). Last night we were so touched to finally reunite Chewy with his family, after four long months! He was strictly an indoor kitty but he masterfully escaped on October 18th😼 Saturday night we trapped six cats, who had an appointment to get spayed and neutered the next morning. We have always looked at situations like this, as there is always a reason why we are guided to certain places. That night it was for Chewy❤️ It was cold and rainy and we weren't certain we would have any luck getting any kitties. As we set a trap out and hoped for the best, Chewy's Angel's helped us by leading him to us and into the trap🙏 The next morning, the vet called and said, he had already been neutered and that he was microchipped too! When we received the owners info, it was incorrect. Thanks to help of the @sacramento_spca & @second_chance_kitty, we were able to touch base with Chewy's mommy! She was so happy to know her boy was safe, after almost giving up hope that he would be found. Last night was the most fulfilling and humbling experience ever!
