Playing and hearing these sounds opens a space inside of me; there is movement, but there are no thoughts. I visit this space often 🙏🏽✨ by @simonkurieita

Part 2/2. Interview with legendary @davideswarup
Q. You are always smiling, have you ever been in bad mood?
A. Definitely yes, often 😀
Q. What are the main differences between Handpan and Ravdrum. What you like in Handpan and what in Ravdrum, or dislike?
A. They are different instruments. Both very beautiful.
I enjoy a lot playing the RAV. Especially for the meditation. With the Handpan I feel I can be more virtuoso.
The main difference for me is the sound, more resonance in the RAV. And i can phisically feel the vibrations of the sound.
I truly love both instruments.
Same same but different, like they say in India 😂
For me, it brought that special touch in my performance, the RAV.
People often ask me, what was the last instrument you have played. It has very touchy sound.
But I don't own an yishama yet 🙃😉 Nothing I dislike. If not I will not play it 👏
Q. How many instruments do you have?
A. Two PanArt, one spb, one RAV
Q. Do you practice every day?
A. Not this period 🤗
But usually an hour a day.
Q. What could you advice for beginners? What steps should they go to play as cool as you?
A. Enjoy playing, enjoy the music that come out. Forget about showing how good you are. And a lot of practice, playing.
Q. Are you worried before the performance?
A. Not really. Especially when it's a solo. I have no limitations and free to flow.
With other musicians, it may be.
My solo are a journey in the moment. Free to play. And as I manage to be focused on playing and enjoy playing, not to impress, I know it will be fine.
Q. What inspires you?
A. Life, and the beauty of the instruments, and the effect on audience.
In a sense of music.
Business wise, make it a profession that brings income. I am very bad on it 😀
I loose inspiration 🤗
I just love to play 🙏
Q. What do you like except music and travelling?
A. At the moment simple life.
But yes, I love dancing a lot. I dance as when I play. Cooking, and lately I discovered work out. Train my body.
Getting older 😂😂 I love nature, forests especially.
I like phisical work too.
Thank you so much, Davide Swarup.
