1-4pm handstand workshop for beginner and intermediate level.

People often ask me how long it will take to learn to handstand.
And i tell them that they might never get there.
But that i still think they should practise, daily if possible, and for the rest of their lives.
When i suggest that it is the practice itself that brings the most happiness, and that in their commitment and dedication they will find strength and joy and truth and pride, they look at me like i’m crazy.
So, why bother? They ask me.
Because to practise handstands or writing or drumming or running or meditating or healing or building a business or nourishing your body or loving someone, to show up again and again when the outcome is not guaranteed takes courage and trust and self-discipline.
And it is this discipline that, ironically, brings freedom.
That deepens and widens and expands our lives.
That makes us braver. Bolder. More beautiful. More alive.

El entrenamiento de las mantenciones a un brazo, hoy... Fue una mierda. Siento la fatiga y hoy no fue un buen día en cuanto a Equilibrio-de-un-brazo/Buenos-Rangos-de-Movimiento-Articular.
En la Flag, fueron 4 series de 5 repeticiones. Todas fueron echas en ovillo, a sugerencia de @maujara , y sirvieron muy bien, y una de ellas fué En Ovillo y Con Las Piernas Abiertas, pues para permitir un mayor movimiento de la columna.
Esta última es emulando a @sofiacoloccini quien tiene buenas desarticulaciones de la parada. Wena Sofi! Gracias por las fotos!!

Had so much fun monkeying around yesterday morning with @half.beast at @crossfit_seminyak_bali !! 🐒😄💪🏽
Had a bit of a field day with this awesome space here at @crossfit_seminyak_bali , and took advantage of making it a little playground with this ninja challenge inspired set up that @half.beast helped create! Training like this is so much fun!!! Especially after spending the other weekend in Perth for the NCL comp with my Ninja crew, and deciding that my next goal is to start training for Ninja Warrior! 😁🙌🏽🐒💪🏽
I definitely have a looonnnggg way to go, and was a total disaster 😅, but it was good fun, and atleast there was improvement by the end! 😄🙌🏽 Thank you so much @half.beast for all the help, and for playing around!! 😊🙏🏽

The second video is a compilation of my other 4 attempts! 😅😂 it’s super duper sped up, so you can’t see quite how much of a disaster I am! 😂🙈 I really need to work on my dynamic movement and how to use momentum!! I look like a flopping fish! 🐟🐠🤣 Just because I am strong/skilled at some things, doesn’t mean I’m going to kill it with others... YET! Just new specific skills and techniques to focus on! Ninja Erika 2019, here I come! 🙌🏽
