What's one way that you've grown or improved that you're proud of? Personally, I think I've gotten better at going with the flow and not getting so anxious when things are out of my control. It's just a small thing that's made a big difference in my life ;)
Well everyone.... .
WE DID IT!!! And wow what a whirlwind of an adventure, touched down in Saint John New Brunswick Sunday @ 10am and quickly made it out to the office and did training with a packed house of amazing team mates!! We followed that up with an afternoon presentation & team dinner!!
Then we caught the next flight out to Halifax (never paid to fly on a plane that small before 🤣) woke up next morning & drove to Antigonish to training & another presentation to a packed house!! Enjoyed an amazing evening out right after with great food and laughs!! .
We finished it all up today in Halifax and again more great team mates and some very impressed guests!!! .
Above all though I was side by side with my best friend and partner @juliamddunbar this women is the real deal... a POWERHOUSE in business & spouse!! 💋❤️💋❤️
I hope everyone reading this gets the opportunity to work along side their spouse and truly get to know them as deeply as we know each other!! No secrets, total transparency and true focus on getting better and your goals!!!

Yah kiddin’ me? This was our final PC Cooking School Class of the summer and I was blown away by the talent in the room. Vegan sushi samurai warriors! What a great crew tonight, they seriously killed it will Vegan Maki Rolls. On top of that we had Japanese veggie garden salad, healthy tempura and finished with espresso cheesecake squares. Oh yah, and if you missed out don’t stress. New classes coming in October and we will be repeating this class in November! Weeeeee! #VeganSushi#Halifax#PlantBased

Something I observe in new clients is a passion to improve, and that’s great, but with that can come impatience and incredibly high expectations. Ask any of us who have been in this setting for a decade plus and we’ll be able to tell you with zero doubt that all fitness pursuits are cyclical and seldom linear beyond the first few years. I’m NOT saying you should take your foot off the gas altogether and coast, but that you should mind the gears, daily inspections, proactive tune-ups, and any other bad car analogies.
When life does happen, and it will, some things to take into consideration to get the most out of the least.
➡️ Follow maintenance volume; in most cases we’re talking 6-12 sets per body part per week. This can easily be accomplished via 2-3 full body or upper/lower workouts.
➡️Hit protein and calorie goals; don’t worry so much about carbohydrate and fat ratios. Body comp should be minimally effected if sufficiently fuelled.
➡️ Shift to recovery mode; better to avoid chasing your gaining or (especially) fat loss goals during this time, stress is likely higher (not a good progress enviro) and training volume will be insufficient. Look at this as a launching platform to your next phase of higher volume and intensity.
➡️Sufficient rest; sleep, you always need to–now more than ever. 7-9 quality hours, naps are great too.
➡️Keep NEPA high; non exercise physical activity is always your friend and especially in fat loss phases, but doubles as a means of keeping energetic expenditure high when you don’t have as much time for the gym.
➡️Manage stress; the best progress is always made by those who do this well. Find your outlets and practice them religious, daily.
➡️Manage expectations; see: cyclical.
