ATTENTION FIT FRIENDS: Plexus is for you!! I know this all to well!! As taken my workouts to another level!! 😁👍🏻💪🏻🏋🏼♀️ It can help with muscle recovery and endurance and to target fat loss!👇👇👇 1) MAGNESIUM (found in BioCleanse)- plays a number of roles in the body being required for more than 325 enzymatic reactions, including muscular contraction and relaxation and cardiac activity. Even more important is magnesium's role in both aerobic and anaerobic energy production. A deficiency in magnesium reduces metabolic efficiency and increases the oxygen consumption and heart rate required-- exactly what an athlete doesn't want!
2) CHROMIUM (found in Slim aka "pink drink")- allows insulin to be used more efficiently. Most people know insulin is needed to regulate our blood sugar but many don't know that it is also a fat storing hormone. By regulating your blood sugar, and therefore insulin levels, you will see more natural sustained energy and allow your body to burn fat and build muscle daily!
3) PROBIOTICS (Plexus ProBio5)- have been shown to improve both your overall health and athletic performance. Here are just a few of the MANY benefits of a healthy gut: stronger immune system, improved sleep, less sugar cravings, improved mood, less brain fog, and improved blood lipid levels. They also improve muscle recovery by increasing antioxidant absorption!
With a 60 day money back guarantee you literally have nothing to lose (except any excess fat)! 😜💪🏋🏼

When did we let life get so busy we forget to appreciate the people in front of?! If you have to ask yourself this question it’s time to reprioritize what’s most important!
Ningxia 30 day challenge day 2 in the books! Have you gotten your stash yet? This yummy red drink is full of all the antioxidant goodness. It’s made up of wolfberries and tons of fruits and veggies giving you lots of vitamins and trace minerals. Natural energy without the crash and all the immune support! Which we really all could use right now during this winter season that’s taking so many of us down! Take one-four ounces a day for overall wellness support. This stuff is more than just juice, it’s a whole food supplement! My favorite ways to drink it are in an empty Ningxia bottle with sulfurzyme, water, and lime oil. Or, I love adding a shot or two to sparkling water with some grapefruit for a yummy afternoon pick me up!
This was my last Essential Rewards order this month! Ningxia for the whole fam, lemon oil for our water everyday, super c chewable vitamin c for my girls, and inner defense for brian and I during these next couple months to keep our gut and immune system fighting strong. I got all the goods on the right for FREE! Digize for tummy support, citrus fresh for all the stinky-ness and good smelling laundry, and the life 9 probiotic for a happy gut! I have this one in my order monthly, so what a score to get it for free this month! 🎉

💪🏽😝Let me preface this post by saying that eating farmed salmon is a lot better than going for processed junk!
👉🏽Its easy to get caught up in the small details and then get confused about what you CAN eat so if you’re getting confused, don’t read anymore, just focus on getting the basics correct:
✅Whole foods over 🙅🏽♀️Processed Junk even if that means eating a plate filled with non-organic veggies and farmed meat daily! Doing that is WAY better than having unhealthy processed takeout daily. On to the post…
🐟Farmed Atlantic salmon is probably something you are familiar with. It is commonly found in supermarkets and the one people usually go for! The issue with farmed salmon is that the salmon are, well, raised in fish farms or pens and can be susceptible to infection. This means they have to be treated with antibiotics and trace amounts can get into the meat we eat. In terms of their diet, they are often fed pellets which contain anything from grains, vegetable oils, fish meal, soy and corn protein as well as a manufactured pigment called Canthaxanthin which enhances their orange colour therefore making it more appealing to the consumer. Basically, farmed salmon ingest a whole lot of stuff they shouldn’t be eating! As the saying goes, you are what you eat/absorb so perhaps we should think twice before purchasing farmed salmon because what they eat, we then eat! I definitely think it is important to be aware!
🧦👁 (get it?😄) Wild caught varieties like the Sockeye salmon are naturally a deep orangey red 😍and get their colour because they feed on phytoplankton who produce Astaxanthin a powerful anti-oxidant. The salmon can then store the Astaxanthin in their skin. Sockeye are able to do this because they are raised wild and therefore able to swim around and find phytoplankton to eat. Sockeye salmon are thus not raised on manufactured pills and definitely not subject to any confinement like their farmed Atlantic cousins! These phytoplankton also contain DHA, an omega 3 fatty acid (essential for brain development💪🏽🧠) which is stored in the Salmons fat.

10 year challenge is fun and silly but also scary! I saw two that made me stop and think and cringe and want to cry. This post re: drug costs over 10 years! And another re: global warming with a picture of the ice caps 10 years ago.
I am trained in tradition western medicine and eastern and botanical medicine. I truly appreciate and respect the lifesaving advances of modern medicine and pharmaceuticals. However, there is no reason except greed to explain the above costs! Why is money spent on insurance companies and pharmaceuticals and not on ancillary services that will truly help patients! 😡🤬 .
How can we be better agents of change?
For me I’m working on minimizing and living a more sustainable lifestyle. How about you?

So quick and easy to prepare, especially when using leftover chicken.
Your gut health will love you for it!
Today’s #Kombucha = @tonicakombucha Special Blend: Tumeric & Lime. As I’m a fan of both flavours separately, I was intrigued to discover what a merging would taste like. A pleasant surprise! Are you an avocado fan?
Avocado's seem to have an incredibly loyal fan base, touting their deliciousness and diversity. They're a fantastic source of healthy fats and 20 different vitamins and minerals that nourish our bodies, and let's face it -- they're tasty.
What I love most about avocado is you can fit it seemingly anywhere.
Breakfast: Avocado Toast
Lunch: Egg Salad with Mashed Avocado instead of Mayo
Dinner: Buddha Bowl with Guacamole
You can even eat them for dessert when you make chocolate avocado mousse or chocolate avocado brownies.
So versatile, and that's why people love them!
So, tell me - are you an avocado fan? Drop the beloved avocado emoji below and let me know your favorite way to eat Avocado.
Click the link for some recipe inspiration from soups, to snack and every meal in between:
Leftovers AKA Buddha Bowls have been around forever and I love them. I try to meal prep a few things at once to maximise what I can achieve during nap time, which could be anywhere from 45 minutes if 2.5 hours I never know! I then use this for different dishes throughout the week, for Max as finger foods and to throw into bowls and lunchboxes for the busy man to take to work. Where we live now there are no restaurants or takeaway options so I’ve had to get much more organised lately. Some days I barely manage a hot stovetop coffee and that’s okay.
We eat mostly vegetarian at the moment as it’s cheap and easy but I’ll be adding bone broths and some other meat dishes as soon as I can find a local organic butcher. If cooking vegetarian I do think about food combining to maximise the protein intake for example; brown rice plus legumes.
I love making and using fermented foods too. Sauerkraut is a favourite in our house and such a good food to eat daily to feed all that healthy gut bacteria and great for babies maturing digestive system. Good digestion is largely a result of our food and lifestyle choices but also the way we choose to eat. Eating slowly and mindfully and not while we are running around stressed allows our gut to produce the proper gastric juices needed to maximise digestion and absorption of all those nutrients we are essentially eating. Reducing gas, wind and bloating. And food tastes so much better when enjoyed together! .

So public enemy #one for anyone trying to eat better, heal their gut, heal acne or quite frankly heal any form of digestive disorder or disease tends to be that gorgeously evil block of fine ass cadbury (or lidnt if you rich af).
And if you love your chocolate and especially if you only indulge in it in moderation then hell go right ahead, I sure as shit aint here to tell you what to eat or in any way make anyone feel guilty for what they wish to consume! Hell to the NO!
Beyond all else we do not need any more guilt nor stress then we already place upon ourselves!
This account will simply be a documentation of how I personally eat to ensure I am flooding my body with all the key nutrients it requires to heal my gut and acne.
I could not tell you the amount of times I have been asked over the last 12 months how I gave up chocolate or how I made the transition to no refined sugar easily... its by far the number one asked question I get. Well truth is, if you are a sweet tooth like me, and you love your chocolate then dropping it cold turkey 🦃 will be harder then the hobbles of hell... and you most likely wont keep it up.
So what I did was simply swap. I swapped cadbury milk chocolate for the slightly darker one. It took a while to get used to but it sure as hell was better then none at all, I then started to like the dark taste and moved up to the higher % dark chocolate, before I knew it I was eating the 90% lindt block (I must of got rich af hey 😅) It was then an easy transition to using Cacao (mother natures original antioxidant powerhouse chocolate) to create all my chocolate treats.
I now have over 50 tried and tested Cacao Chocolate treats, lunchbox fillers, desserts and ice creams and I don't even feel like traditional chocolate anymore.
So in the process of starting off slowly, easily and cheap this is my number one go to chocolate snack I that I always ALWAYS have on hand in the fridge... I actually eat it on my breakfast every morning... more on my chocolate pudding for breakfast soon 😉 .

I love what Stacia shared!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 “For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with acne. I was constantly self conscious, embarrassed and looking for a solution. I have tried birth control, low dose antibiotics, and just about every big name acne treatment available to me... all I got was a messed up gut, wacky hormone levels and dry, red, itchy irritated skin ON TOP of the acne... I've ever had steroid injections for cystic breakouts that just led to deep dark scars and a weird hard lumps. ☹️ I've seen dermatologists and estheticians only to get different opinions. I've been told my skin is too oily, but also too dry. I exfoliate too much or I need to exfoliate more. I should only wash my face once a week, or I should wash twice a day every day. It's always been a frustrating and discouraging game with no end in sight.
Until about 4 months ago... Plexus launched a new skincare line called Joyome. Joyome works with the microbiome of your skin so it can correct and reverse imbalances AT THE SOURCE! I decided to give it a try thinking "what else have I got to lose?" And guess what.... I lost my acne! My scars are fading. Sun damage is disappearing. I finally have soft, smooth skin! No more painful bumps, lumps and embarrassing redness. I am so grateful for this easy two step system! No fuss and no extra time. I just use my basic gentle cleanser and finish with the day or night serum. 👏🏼 I have never been more confident or happy with my skin!” #acne#cysticacne#skin#skinissues#unevenskintone#scarring#guthealth#prebioticskincare#skincareroutine#selfie#loveyourskin#holistichealth # #beautyblogger#natural#antiaging#beautycare#organic#iloveskincare#instabeauty

Let’s talk Food Allergies...
I’ve been severely lactose intolerant since I was 19...I wouldn’t call myself a fussy eater I just can’t have lactose cause I will become very ill... and for me especially as my body try’s to process the lactose inflammation starts to occur in my gut...and as we know these days gut health is a huge thing!!! But added inflammation on a body with an autoimmune and inflammatory disease isn’t ideal.
Times have changed though since I was 19 and I can now happily have a coffee and sandwich with peace of mind but I do still come across places which don’t show full understanding or sick of the “FUSSY” Eater
Any whoooo this is why I am always appreciative of places which cater for people like myself.
So huge shout out to one of my main coffee spots @toastedcafes thanks for always keeping my coffees and sandwiches lactose free!!!
I love adding a small amount of Sauerkraut to my salads or even stir fries because of its health benefits.
Sauerkraut is literally fermented cabbage, whereby during the fermentation process probiotics (‘live bacteria’) are created. It is great for digestive health in that it FEEDS the good bacteria in your gut and fights inflammation (even though sometimes I truly do wonder whether I have any good bacteria left!). The enzymes that sauerkraut contains aid in the absorption of nutrients during digestion by breaking down your food into smaller molecules.
It can also help to reduce digestive symptoms including bloating, constipation and gas.
However you must be careful when considering portion sizing. To keep your meal Low FODMAP, Monash Uni suggests to keep portions to 1 teaspoon per serving otherwise you may have quite the opposite effect!

I’ve been making some variation of this once a week for the past couple months and I’m hooked on @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi! I typically cook it in my cast iron but my other favorite method is baking it in the oven, so I did that today. The bolognese is grass fed ground beef, onion, leeks, kale, @thrivemkt Tuscan pepper tomato sauce (no added sugar!), red pepper flakes, oregano, thyme, parsley, garlic, salt & pepper. So simple and just the best 🍝 #glutenfree#grainfree#sugarfree#lowcarb#easydinner
Today’s workout was appropriately titled “sweat” and by the end of it, the color of my face matched my top. This month’s program taps into workouts that are similar to what I did in my days as an athlete and I love the intensity and style of workout! I have found it so easy to stay accountable when I actually look forward to the workouts. .
Do you like your workouts? If not, do you wish you did? I’d love to help you find a program that inspires you to show up for yourself each and every day. Next virtual boot camp starts February 4 and I’m ready to help you! Are you ready?

Wellness Wednesday spotlight:
Your gut and intestines are filled with trillions of microorganisms (including bacteria) that make up your microbiome. Years of scientific studies show how important gut bacteria is in supporting normal immune system functioning, intestinal functioning as well as your overall health.
We rely on good bacteria like probiotics (not all probiotics are the same/good quality) and certain whole food nutriton to crowd out unfriendly bacteria and help influence digestion, metabolism, mood and even weight. Did you know:
*Our microbes affect everything from digestion and metabolism to weight management and brain function.
*One in Five people have digestion problems, many of my clients did as well!
*Stress, poor nutrition and other factors are known to worsen digestion
*Microbial diversity is associated with better health. Like a Rain forest, diversity is key to your internal eco system.
The good news is there are answers! If anyone struggles with digestive issues, I am able to help even if it's just giving out some free tips and tricks I have learned from my own body and helping clients overcome their digestive problems.

Have you ever wondered what does it mean to Eat Clean?
Eating clean is not a fad diet and neither is it about counting calories, fat grams or points. It is not over-complicated and neither does it have to be boring!
Two primary benefits of following a Clean Eating programme are:
1️⃣To support the eliminating organs to effectively remove toxins from the body, so as to reduce inflammation and promote gut health!
2️⃣ Reduce the amount of toxins taken into the body, by avoiding foods that don’t serve us and are sabotaging our health!
Get these two right and not only will you improve your wellbeing, blood sugar levels, loose weight, sleep better, increased energy, but more importantly you would have done the best ‘jumpstart’ to your health, by learning and adopting lifestyle habits that will serve you beyond the 30 Days!!!

3 SUPPLEMENTS FOR SKIN HEALTH .
While I was chronically ill I struggled with severe painful acne. Here are 3 supplements that helped improve my skin health
NAC plays an important role in the body's detoxification system. As your body is able to detox better, the acne will lessen and heal.
🌟Liposomal Vitamin C
Vitamin C is incredibly powerful for skin health. Liposomal Vitamin C is extra special because its absorbed through fat, so your body is better able to utilize it. When I started taking this every day, I noticed a big improvement in my skin & energy!
Anytime I had a breakout I would put on topical probiotics, and it would help to diminish the breakout, and heal it quickly. This was a game changer for me! .
