One more adoption … Saturday a lady, who had recently lost her greyhound, called me and wanted to come meet some dogs so that she and her husband could get an idea of whether or not they were ready to take the plunge and adopt again. Even if they did decide they were ready, they weren’t planning to adopt until the spring at the earliest. Since they were not going to adopt for awhile, I told them that it was highly unlikely that any of the dogs they looked at would still be available in the spring, so it would probably be better for them to go on the Brightwater walk so that they could be around a lot of greyhounds and not get attached to any one dog that they may not be able to adopt. They thought about it and decided that they still wanted to meet dogs one on one so we did just that. They saw four or five dogs and, you guessed it, fell really hard for one of them — they talked about their situation and decided that there really was no solid reason that they couldn’t adopt now so they left this afternoon for Pullman with their new addition, Stephanie!! Here's Stephanie with her new parents, Alex and Lauren.
