Day 1 to Day 5 - I love green onions, especially scattered over a baked potato with sour cream 😋 So we decided to grow our own from scraps.
It's super easy! Just take your leftover green onions, give them a quick trim if needed.
Now, pop them in a glass of water (just enough to cover the roots) and watch them grow.
Remember to change the water every couple of days 😊 Once they begin to sprout they're be ready to planted.
Did you know you can replant green onions? 🌱
They can be placed in plain water or potted with soil 💧
They grow about 1 inch per day and save you money and waste from re-buying each time you head to the grocery store 🛒
Just be sure to place them somewhere they will get enough sunlight - they don’t need much! ☀️
