Had a lovely long walk at Glenfinnan and then decided to do one more hill to better see the loch and lovely viaduct. I was halfway through my tea at the bottom before I reloaded it was the viaduct from #Harrypotter - I really #mustpaymoreattention

We were too early in the year to go out on a tour to Castle Stalker but loved seeing this little beauty. How appropriate after our falconing a few weeks ago that the castle names in Gaelic is Stalcaire meaning falconer
This feels like the last homely house from the hobbit to me - all alone and just waiting for you in the middle of the journey.

I’m not saying it was wet when we dragged @gouffer out yesterday but you certainly couldn’t see #standrews two miles away and my clothes are still drying out

I read too many regency romance novels as a teenager so now I make my husband stop at the old black smith every time we drive over the border to Gretna Green as though we’re eloping. He’s a good sport about it.

#Stafford , the county town of #Staffordshire boasts a 12th central church with a Norman arch, cute side streets and cafes as well as a modern shopping centre. I love Staffordshire oatcakes which are a very local delicacy so stocked up!
Popped by #Salisbury which was such a beautiful city with the #SalisburyCathedral as it's centrepiece. Inside the cathedral is a copy of the #MagnaCarta which is seen as the foundation for #democracy as it guaranteed rights and limited the power of the King. Lots of beautiful #medieval streets here too!
