Not only do I see this when people do squats, but deadlifts too and it makes me sad!! I felt very uplifted by my devo tonight — the idea being that we ourselves do not have to be strong. God gives us all the strength we need and it is readily available to us! So even if we don’t feel worthy/enough/strong, our God is. And he can give us whatever we need. 🙌🏻 Don’t be fooled into letting your feelings affect your actions. Make bold and courageous choices anyway. Despite what you feel.💕 Let’s have a good week!

I wanted to share some pieces from the book I’m currently reading, “You are a Badass: How To Stop Doibting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life” by Jen Sincero
“All of us are connected to this limitless power and most of us aren’t using but a fraction of it” (page 30); “You need to raise your frequency to match the vibration of the one you want to tune into” (page 31); and one more, “The Universe will match whatever vibration you put out. And you can’t fool The Universe” (page 32).
So couple months back, Haidar (aka the hubby wubby), introduced the Law of Attraction concept to me and I’ve been so intrigued by it that I’ve been trying to really practice it and turn it into my lifestyle, my habits. I’ve tried finding books about it and Haidar is constantly practicing and teaching me about it. ⬆️ Those pieces I mentioned and took from this book are other ways to state what the Law Of Attraction is. It’s really a cool thing, but I won’t go any further and put y’all to sleep 😂 maybe I’ll talk about it more in my other posts.

I had a moment the other day.
I was looking at my Timehop app and a video popped up of me exactly one year ago.
I was squatting 225 # for 3x10.
I immediately felt like a failure. I can’t remember the last time I threw 225 # on the bar for ONE rep, nevermind multiple sets of 10 reps.
I had a little moment, let myself shed a couple tears, then I remembered one thing: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was only remembering my highlight reel.
I wasn’t remembering that I spent 6 days a week in the gym at that time. Or that I was still on birth control not dealing with any crazy hormonal issues. Or that I was still working my full-time 9-5 job, desperately waiting for the day I could run my business full-time.
Today, I probably can’t squat 225 # for sets of 10, but I can do a lot of other freaking amazing things including running an insanely successful business full time WITH my husband, while being free of hormonal birth control.
Maybe there will be a day where I can squat a couple plates with ease again, maybe not, but I know where I am now is exactly where I’m supposed to be, and sometimes that’s the only reminder we need✨💛 #evolveyourperspective#rightwhereyouneedtobe
