If Chatswood isn’t the go to suburb for the fried chicken breast lovers of Sydney, it’s got to be right up there, with Burger Patch a favourite of many in the know.
Burger Patch make aesthetically pleasing burgers. We eat with our eyes first. The chicken is a beautiful golden sunset colour. Crispy, and moist. I find breast to be neutral in flavour, which then allows it to be a good canvas to paint other flavours on. Burger Patch do this very well.
This chicken sanga takes it lead from the sauce. It’s sticky sweet, spicy, but doesn’t have heat.
All the other elements play supporting roles.
I’ve had Nongshim snacks twice, both thanks to Burger Patch, and loved them in the both burgers. There were more of them in this than the squid ink cheesy, and a lot more noticeable in flavour. Crunchy with a noticeable honey flavour.
I loved the pickles. I liked the texture, giving a popping crunch. They brought a nice sour tang the rich sauce.
There was a slight wasabi flavour to the mayo. Nice and creamy.
This burger screams out for bacon. Especially if you like your sweetness balanced out with a savoury flavour.

My favorite (and very random) breakfast concoction lately. I don’t even know what to call this - it’s a mix between oatmeal & a smoothie - kind of oatmeal pudding?!
Add the following to a small pot over medium/low heat on the stove: 1 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup oats, 1 tsp ground flax, pinch of cinnamon, 1 tbsp @pearlbutter beauty butter (or can use coconut butter), 1 banana & 1 tbsp almond butter. Let simmer on low for about 5 min, pour into a blender & blend. Should be slightly thick in consistency. Sooo yummmmm!

HAPPY SUNDAY! We spent last night dancing and celebrating and boy do my legs feel it this morning 😅 After a night of drinking and (a lot of) foods I’m not used to eating on the reg, my stomach is definitely feeling off. BUT ☝🏻it was worth the beers and tequila and pizza and cake 💯 times over. This morning I had some oatmeal and fruit at the hotel for breakfast, so I’m throwing it back to one of my fave toast combos! Yogurt on toast (game changer!) with fresh mango and chocolate chia seeds 👏🏻 Now we are headed back home and to get LOLA!!! Yes, I’m that crazy dog mom 🤷🏻♀️😬 I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday! 😘
