Normally 60 to 70 degrees in December in Brunswick, GA. Right now? 43 degrees. Sigh... 🤦♂️
A huge thanks to @rei for having us join them this weekend as guests on their Cumberland Island camping trip! It was a blast! It was also the perfect time to check out the tasty new Guide Beer from our friends at @sweetwaterbrew! -
Don’t forget! Registration for our January Cumberland Island Service Weekend opens up today at 5 PM! -
Would you want to rest here for a bit? I just arrived at @littlestsimonsisland on the Georgia Coast. I have been so excited to visit here since I first heard about it a couple of years ago. It was windy and rainy when I arrived but hopefully it is going to clear up because I only have one day to explore.
Little St. Simons is an 11,000-acre barrier island only accessible by boat. There are seven miles of beach and 20 miles of wilderness trails but the Lodge accommodates no more than 32 overnight guests at a time.
Far from rustic, this award-winning resort is a great place to recharge. I already feel the tension in my shoulders lessening.
It is an all-inclusive Resort with family-style meals and naturalist-led activities throughout the day.
I love it already and I’m trying to think when we could come as a family that is over a school vacation but not during the summer buggy months.
Follow my stories to see more of the property.
This first pic depicts the festive feel of @tubbystankhouse, in Thunderbolt, GA, where I’m playing, 6-10pm, tonight! The second pic represents the mess, I call my life. The third pic is a cool old tree, in the parking lot. I’m guessing it’s a zillion years old.
This small painting can set your spirit high! A daytime interpretation of colored lights at night (well, for me at least) it evokes beyond what can be seen. For you, I imagine it would be something different. While visiting us try sharing your take on what a painting does to you! We’d love to know.

Not all pages in my book look this clean with smooth lines, no smudges or bits I won’t use somewhere down the line. Many pages you will never see because they look like I was drawing with my opposite hand 😂 it’s part of the process and I am okay with it now. However, It took me a lot to get to that point, the point of least perfection. I still criticize every line but I push through it on the page and the computer and I am not going to give up. The key is practice, consistently drawing, and your kind words, thanks so much for that! #keepdrawing#notperfectbutreal#illustratorsoninstagram#dontgiveup
Calling all honey bees! DAY 7: A TUPELO HONEY FLUTE! For DAY 7 of the #12daysofChristmas giveaway, I've partnered with @savannahbeeco to give away one flute of Tupelo honey. This honey is known as the Queen of All Honey and it is my absolute favorite honey. A cool fact about this company is that part of its mission is to educate children and adults on the importance of bees and through "The Bee Cause Project" they install observation honeybee hives in schools all over the world! Follow the link in my profile and BUZZ over to enter.
Don't forget to enter for the new item each day! Stay tuned for the fab destination giveaway that will be announced on the 12th day! Good luck! Contest ends 12/15 at midnight. *
