I was feeling SO TIRED after work, but that didn’t stop me from getting in my workout! Now, I feel more energized than I did before! Also, I wanted to hit my calorie goal, so I definitely ran around my house and did jumping jacks until I hit that goal cuz I know that I’m going to be sitting on my butt for the rest of the evening. 😆 Have you ever done that?? #sweat12wc week 6 arms & abs: ✅
Fun evening flow with my bestie tonight. Stick with the people who pull the magic out of you & not the madness. 💫🌸 @amandamcmack - & yes we’re matching, but is that a surprise?

Something nice about doing yoga to the sound of sleet pinging the house. No, seriously! Idk, I like weather (duh😅), and as long as it isn't crazy windy, I like hearing precip outside. Snow/sleet/ice day today, which is always a nice change of pace, to work from home. Feeling really good about my yoga practice. Twists are becoming more open, balance a little more stable, and I'm much more confident in how I'm moving. Really loving this journey 😊. #yoga#yogawithadriene#ywadedicate#snowday#fwfg#yogajourney#fitventures#selflove#findwhatfeelsgood#newipadcase
Settling in after a long day with a good read and my @fwfglife yogi tea 🧘🏼♀️ 🍵
I had physical therapy today and while it’s going well, I have to remind myself to be patient. My current goals are walking a mile without pain or fatigue and accruing about 4K steps per day which is a far cry from volleyball, HIIT workouts or a day at work. This experience is humbling and has certainly reframed my thinking. I’m in a different stage of my #workparty than I thought I would be in 2019, but that’s the point right? Continue to be flexible, persistent and resilient and good things will come your way. 😘
I get asked a lot about how I warm and the stretches I do and realized I don’t really post any so here’s a start. I do most, if not all of these stretches or a variation of such, just about everyday before each workout, sometimes after as well. ***Each video is sped up (except the last one) so if you try this kind of flow, take your time and go at your own pace.
There’s a little of everything in there- but the goal is to feel it out. The yoga flow consists of opening up the hips while dynamically stretching legs, core, and the shoulders. Stretching extensively before each workout isn’t always necessary but doing this gets me loose and ready to go. I can’t just walk in the gym and pick up 400 lbs w/no warm up like I used to. Lol
I’m going to try and start posting more warm up/stretching videos, whether it’s for specific areas of the body or total body flows like this one, because I feel like they’re more beneficial for people. Stretching and feeling your body out always comes first which is why I advocate yoga so much. #findwhatfeelsgood 🧘♂️ #humpday#yoga#yogaflow#stretching#warmup#fitfam#instafit#muscle#atlmodels#motion#votd#fwfg
well, i did it! i’ve successfully completed the #YWADedicate 30-day journey (even though it took a little more than 30 days...)
I’m so proud of myself for sticking with this, and am beyond grateful to @adrienelouise for leading the journey, and for @scoant for supporting and encouraging me along the way!
i’ve struggled to enjoy working out for a while, and am so happy to have finally found an at-home yoga practice that motivates me not only to keep returning to the mat, but also to be my best self both on and off the mat. I can’t wait to continue on the next YWA journey!
Happy Hump Day! Today my body decided it needed to sleep in until 6:45, hence the post going up after work.
Today’s Care practice is a 7 minute stretch called Yoga for Runners. I am by no means a runner, but this was perfect after a day of moving around a lot at work today. Adriene guides us through some mindful stretches that focus on every part of the body, not just those targeted for running. It’s perfect for before or after a run, or for when you just need to drop in for a few minutes.
Side note: My husband is an avid runner, and I was actually able to convince him to do this with me. He loved it! And now I have a reason to get a second yoga mat. 😉🏃🏼♂️ #namaste#ywacare#wednesday#latergram#runner#running#yoga#fwfg#timandnicoledoyoga
Life sometimes throws us curve balls and adds stress that we didn’t expect. And today, was one of those days for me. I could not wait to get on my mat and just breathe it all out. Today’s practice was not the most peaceful one to say the least. Ironically enough at the beginning of the video, Adrienne said, something along the lines of “it may not be your traditional practice and if it’s not quiet around you, soak in the noise and listen to what is going on”. I had to smile because my 6 yr old was playing on her iPad and my 5 month old was on her activity mat with music playing. It was far from quiet and my mind was probably the noisiest of all the sounds. But I looked around at my precious girls and their smiles and suddenly felt a sense of peace. I was right where I belonged! 🧘🏻♀️🙏🏼💖 #namaste#namasteallday#30daysofyoga#fwfg#findwhatfeelsgood#fwfglife#dowhatyoulove#yogawithadriene#ywatrue#showup#dayeight#practice#heartchakra#love#light#peace#relax
Be still. Close your eyes. Bring awareness to your breath. Connect with your internal world. Feel the light of your soul. Accept your truth. Forgive & love yourself. Fill your mind with gratitude. Follow your dreams. ૐ #eaglepose
It’s been a few weeks since I have done any yoga practices. I finished my #ywadedicate last month and loved it. Then I went on vacation and came home to a 2 week long snow day 😩 it shouldn’t be an excuse. But I let it be. So today I’m choosing to dive back into my at home practice. I did a morning wake up session that was short and sweet. A perfect welcome back. I would really like to make this a daily practice. It helps me feel good and helps mentally. So here goes. #yoga#yogi#yogawithadriene#athomeyoga#feelgood#fwfg#namaste#keto#lchf#health#myjourneytohealth#pnw
Finally back to a place where my default is to reach for yoga when I’m stressed, tired, sick, or in need of a little spark of joy, a little stretch, or a moment to re-center 💫 This #dedicate journey with @adrienelouise has been exactly what I needed to get back to “me” before I transition to a new phase in life. Feeling blessed and eternally grateful to be living in a world and an era where this form of practice is available to whoever wants it 🙏🏼
Yesterday I did a yoga practice that encourage me to force my heels to the floor ... SAY WHHAT 🛑
That's not my style ! I believe yoga should be a practice not a force. Some days I bend better then others ( isnt that just life?) With practice comes expansion. Be gentle , be loving , and when your bodies ready it will bend.

Currently sat in the office but would so much rather be out playing in the woods 🤸🏻♀️ I'm having one of those days where sitting still is just the last thing I want to be doing!
Today I've been thinking alot about the future, about moving back home to Scotland at some point, about how I want my life to be. It's so easy to get overwhelmed and swept away from the present by focusing so much on the future. This is definitely something I struggle with! Taking it a day at a time is something I'm working on, but when what you want in the future seems so exciting, waiting for it to happen is excruciating 😬
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
In the middle of last year, without even trying, I realized I had done 1-2 new things every month thus far. I started a note in my phone and jotted them down and kept it going for the rest of 2018.
Yesterday, as I was looking through old photos, I realized I had done at least 1 new thing every month of 2017. Then I went back to 2016... and GUESS WHAT—
The past 45 months (and counting) I HAVE TRIED SOMETHING NEW OR DONE SOMETHING I’VE NEVER DONE BEFORE😮! If you are someone who is working on self improvement, I challenge you to challenge yourself to getting outside of your comfort zone and DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Never had Indian food? Try it. Never signed up for a race? Try it. Never done a @soulcycle class? Try it!! Surround yourself with people who have similar goals, challenge you & GET YOU! You’re only as good as the company you keep 😉 #WCW#fitfriends

#YWA Seven Minute Yoga for Runners
I have my calf brace on “FULL MOON AFFIRMATION:
I now release the need for those things in my life that are not serving my highest good. I am not afraid to let go. In their place, I receive joy and abundance. “
Actually, I can distinctly remember NOT letting go of things that hurt me as a younger woman. Because I distinctly remember believing that anything kept — even the pain — was better than nothing.
That’s enough of that.
Life is good. Today will be a happy, easy day because yesterday was work. This practice just felt really, really good on my healing legs.

Time for some real talk y’all 👊🏻 I’m someone who has always struggled with comparison. Comparing my body to other girls my age. Comparing my grades to my peers. Comparing my postpartum journey to other moms. Compare compare compare. And let me tell you something. Nothing ruins a life more than comparisons. Nothing sabotages happiness more then spending all your energy looking over the fence at someone else’s “perfect”. And everyone will always tell you, you don’t know what it’s really like in their shoes. You don’t know what they had to go through to get there. All so true. But it doesn’t always help. It doesn’t always make it better. It’s not always easy to realign yourself once you get going down “that path”. It’s not always a matter of just snapping out of it. Sometimes it takes more than that. And that’s ok too. Sometimes you have to let yourself feel it for a few minutes before you can fully move on and move forward. But just remember that your path is no one else’s. Your life is its own beautiful because of the growth that only you will get to experience because of it 💕
On Monday I did 3 total workouts for the day. Two water aerobics classes and one yoga session. I was beat! Last night I had plans so I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it to my water aerobics class, so I decided just on a short yoga practice combining two #yogawithadriene morning yoga videos. It’s absolutely crazy to me how 15 minutes in the morning made me feel really awake and awesome for the rest of the day! #yoga#100daysofyoga#fwfg#slgwellness
Throwback to when someone decided to crash my practice. Super love how this little person always attempts to climb up my back when I’m planking or tries to lie on top of me when I’m in shavasana. Love you TB. And even though your only child rights are expiring but Mummy will always love you like you are my only child. ❤️❤️❤️
