You know you're a certified 'tita' when you find it easy to turn down a three-day all-expense paid travel invite. Perhaps next time.
So yea, this confirms that my priorities have changed and that I'm definitely not getting any younger 😭😆
Choose to focus your time, energy and conversation around people who inspire you, support you and help you to grow you into your happiest, strongest, wisest self.
B E G I N N I N G S
The entirety of the life you spend here bears no name, the plane rides you take, the countless waves you face, the waiting game you play in between each travel, and all that moolah you have to save to see the world. They are all anonymous in the end, but they are all so profound they mean the world to you in one way or another.
This is not about the names of places and faces of peoples. It’s about thoughts and emotions and how they are inevitably wedded with space and time. It’s about both the fluidity and spontaneity of certain realizations, some superficial, some earth shattering, and this is the beginning of your obtuse, oh so futile attempt to chase them. If you are fine with that, then it is beautiful.
Passing Through. This is similar to the post that I uploaded earlier except I took it from a different angle and the lighting was better. Imagine what it would have been like to be passing through a place like this when it used to be the norm. Imagine it bustling with activity and people through it’s corridors. Another Aladin moment for me that’s for sure.
And you hear Christmas bells ring! _________________________________________________________________ One of my favorite things about cooler temperatures (well at least december is coming so its way much cooler 😉) is all things mint (or peppermint). We add that glorious flavoring to hot cocoa, to brownies, to cookies, and most definitely to cakes! This Mint Chocolate Cake is quite possibly the best one I have ever had! 😉 __________________________________________________________________ follow @thekylesuarez and clickink on bio for more adventures! 😄 #forumsession#fsfridaymustbelove
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things
Colossians 3:2 _________________________________________________________________ If you look closely at the picture on the lower right you might see green figures that look like bigchairs, those are actually resort umbrellas. In reference to that, here are some interesting facts about umbrellas:
The word umbrella comes from the Latin word "umbros" which means shade or shadow. Modern day widespread acceptance of umbrellas started to spread across the Europe in middle of 18th century. Up until that point, umbrellas were viewed as a female fashion accessory. The first man who publicly carried umbrella was Englishman Jonas Hanway. His influence finally introduced umbrella to male population of England, and soon after entire world.
Modern day umbrellas are strikingly similar in their design to the models that were used in ancient Greece and Rome.
Technological advancement of 20th century enabled the creation of mechanisms and materials that are integral part of modern umbrellas.First waterproofed umbrellas were created in ancient China, over 3 thousand years ago. Many Asian rulers showcased their might with multi-tiered parasols that sometimes had up to 20 levels of protection. From around 1000 BC to 400 AD, small and foldable parasols (in their design almost identical to modern umbrellas) represented one of the fashion accessories of females in Greece and Rome. During the European Middle Ages, people protected themselves against sun and rain with long waterproofed coats and hats. This tradition spread across the world during the Age of Discovery, but was soon. ________________________________________________________________
