So it’s the annual conundrum of who makes my cake on my birthday...to avoid this I’ve pre-made raspberry tartlets instead...sorted! I wanted to grab the last of the raspberries before they go out of season and have combined them with a chiboust cream (crème patisserie lightened with Italian meringue) and encased in a sable biscuit. The tartness is the raspberries really complement the richness of the vanilla cream and biscuit sable #LastOfTheSeasonsFruit#CyclingBaker

I love croissants but I’ve become very picky about them - either eat one that’s really good or don’t eat them at all 🙈 and @dubonheurberlin is one of the places that makes them just the way I like them - flakey, buttery, crispy, walnutty, almondy... and now I should stop because I’m making up adjectives 😂 I had already had the almond croissant before so I was dying to try the walnut one. It was delicious as well, but not as sweet as the almond one! 🤤 my boyfriend ordered a pain au chocolat 🍫, an almond croissant and a café au lait☕️🥛(that was served in a gigantic cup) 😋 all those things were delicious as well, and I’ll definitely come back to finally try their small chocolate tart and indulge in another croissant ❤️ #HungryDianaTakesBerlin
♥️ DREAMY ♥️ Dreaming of this cholatey piece of heaven 🍫
Chocolate sable, chocolate sponge, caramel, caramelised nuts and a delicious chocolate cremeux all topped with a crunchy hazelnut praline disc 🤤 #afternoontea

Le Péché gourmand (translating to "sin of gluttony"... see why I love this place?) is a humble little French Patisserie nestled into the main street of my home town, Creswick. It's our 'special occasion' place, and there's a good reason for that! The desserts are nothing short of impeccable every time we visit, each piece has that quintessential french charm, the kind of charm that makes their pastries feel way out of your league, yet still comforting and homely. It's this perfect balance of technique and heart that makes french pastries the hot commodity that they are, and Marie's knowledge of traditional French baking, combined with fresh local produce has ensured that Le Péché gourmand nails that balance, time and time again.
