@Regran_ed from @througheternitytours - You've probably wandered around the Roman Forum during the day...but have you gazed into heart of Rome's ancient civic centre as night descends on the city? The massive temples and monuments of the Forum are probably even more suggestive in the dark, beautifully spotlit as angry autumn clouds roll in. To get this unique insight into the Forum climb to the top of the Capitoline hill, and follow the path around the side of the Palazzo Senatorio to the viewing platform on the other side, and drink in the splendours of the ancient city in the Roman night.

Bizarre fountains in the piazza della Sentissima Annunziata designed by Pietro Tacca (1577 – 1640). Tacca was the chief pupil and follower of Giambologna, who designed the equestrian sculpture in the centre of the piazza. Tacca began his career working in a Mannerist style and then developed into a Baroque sculptor. These monsters remind me of ‘The Creature from the Black Lagoon’.
