Clang, clang, clang went the trolley.
Ding, ding, ding went the bell.
No, it wasn't Meet Me in St. Louis that I saw, but a Little Red Riding Hood Pantomime at the Capitol Theatre in Fort Edmonton Park. I hadn't seen a pantomime (or panto) since one I saw in Bath, England two years ago. A panto is a family show based on a fairytale, where the audience gets to participate and they often have local jokes. It's a lot of fun and it's playing until December 31.
Normally Fort Edmonton Park is closed in the winter, but they have shows playing in the Capitol Theatre, a recreation of the one that used to be on Jasper Ave. If you go to see a show they have a steet car to take from the main gate to the theatre. It's always fun to ride a street car.
