The best soups are those that are 💯% homemade. One clear argument for DIY soups is you are the master of the ingredients! In other words, you know exactly what’s going into them! This can (if being mindful of your portions and flavourings) significantly reduce the amount of salt, sugars and saturated fat content❗️
Vegetable soup is possibly one of THE most wholesome and hearty soups you could possible put on your table. Vast amounts of Fibre are provided from the vegetables as well as a host of essential Vitamins & Minerals 👌🏽🥣
Last night we had an extremely wholesome, fibre dense, nutrient rich, entirely homemade veggie soup (with some shell pasta thrown in for good measure)🍲💚 it is quite simply a heap of chopped/diced fresh vegetables (of choice) & a whole load of flavour 👌🏽
The PERFECT winter dish. Although I admit I’m very much keen for some warmer weather right now. BBQ & fresh salads would be very much appreciated. Roll on Spring 🌤✨

About the weekend: Had the privilege of trying out some food at Kiza Restaurant Toronto . Kiza is an international restaurant based in Nairobi and Dubai. So you can imagine how I felt when I got the invite. Ahaha! I felt like a real food critic... Haha 😜😀😉😝
First of all, I'm excited to find one African restaurant in the GTA area giving us African food with class and style. Like, I don't know of any other one. May be you might know, pls comment their names 👇....
But I haven't seen any other. It's something I have been looking forward to. The other restaurants are doing well... But, I mean, not everytime buka or mama put things...😀 Let's try harder. What do you think?
In all it was a good experience. Of course I had a lot to eat. 😁 The ambience of the restaurant is nice. You will feel like just chilling. Service ✔️ presentation ✔️ taste ✔️ price ✔️... Everything 💯. I have a lot of write about Kiza but first let me leave you with this drink. It's a must try. 101%

flashback to TRULY one of the GREATEST meals I’ve ever had • Monterey, CA • Seafood Alfredo
Yesterday was another #RecipeSunday where I tried a new pasta recipe. I’m a huge fan of the caprese salad so gave it a personal twist that I absolutely loved:
- Brie cheese, cherry tomatoes and pesto tossed with pasta and topped with some pieces of steak 🙌🏻 needless to say it was amazing ¿Do you like when I share new recipes?

I spent yesterday working on this recipe for cottage cheese cake and it’s almost spot on! Tahini cake with chocolate almond crust and a strawberry glaze. It’s super low in sugar and I’m really excited about it. I can’t wait to share the recipe soon🙈
