Throwing back to a hazy Sunday night when we staved off after party hangovers with a stopover in China town and late night drunken eats staple "Swatow"

Do you know a bartender who can shake a CN-tower inspired Sazerac? Are you a mix-drink mogul who can whip up a Whisky Sour worthy of the 6ix? @theauchentoshan, one of Scotland's most unique Single Malt Scotch whiskies, is looking for creative bartenders to enter their 2018 New Malt Order competition. Two Canadian finalists will fly to Glasgow for a once-in-a-lifetime experience to help create the next edition of Auchentoshan Bartenders Malt! To enter, create a tasty libation inspired by your city using Auchentoshan. Head to foodism.to/promotions/win-auchentoshan. Tag a bartender who can shake up the world of Single Malts with the best of them or your favourite restaurant with the best Auchentoshan cocktails! #sponsored
I never get tired of exploring wonderful smokey drinks. Here’s another glass of awesomeness @adam.karpowicz created for me during one of our recent drinking sessions. I guess you could say we burned the house down with this one (not literally!).
Drink: SMOKED BLACKBERRY MEZCAL MARGARITA
1.5 oz mezcal
0.5 oz cointreau
1 oz freshly lime juice
0.75 oz blackberry puree
2 dash cherry—pineapple-anise bitters
Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake. Pour into a rocks glass with ice and cover with a cloche. Fill cloche with cherrywood smoke and wait. Garnish: Cinnamon stick and mint.
Had way too much fun drinking with @erikjtreble at @goodfortunebar. I challenged him to make something rad with Fireball whisky so he dug up this Valentine’s day killer that stole the show. I also realized that receiving a Broken Heart can sometimes be a good thing!
Drink: BROKEN HEART
1 oz Fireball whiskey
1 oz Aperol
1 oz lemon juice
0.5 oz amaro nonino
0.5 oz amargo vallet
Combine all ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake and double strain into couple glass.

FACTS: A boodle fight, in the context of Filipino culture, is the military practice of eating a meal. Diners instead practice KAMAYAN, Filipino for "eating with the hands". The food is placed on top of a long banana leaf-lined trestle table and in the true military practice, diners do not sit in chairs but instead stand shoulder to shoulder in a line on both sides of the table.
A senior officer or enlisted personnel then utters the traditional command for the boodle fight to begin: “Ready on the left,
Ready on the right,
Commence Boodle Fight”
Tasting the rainbow... Prepped a #homecooked vegetable chilli and roasted veg. *Amateur Tip: Did you know that if you roast a bunch of those compact cherry or grape tomatoes with thyme and rosemary, it brings out both its natural sweetness and tartness to create an incredible almost broth-like liquid that makes almost anything you pair it with taste phenomenal? I'm adding these roasted veggies (squash, Brussel sprouts, tomatoes) with leafy kale, cucumber and spinach for a salad upgrade. Rainbow to go. I know I take a lot of pics of places I eat out at, but to be honest, most of my meals are at home.
From all the recipes we were creating on curries. We really got the urge to do something calm (thanks to @brevillecanada ) and share it with all you beautiful people. Happy weekend 😊
