Last night’s talk at the Brattleboro Museum also inspired me to use more of my own art in connection with our chocolates, like these old pages from a sketchbook filled with drawings from the collection at the Palace of the Legion of Honor when we lived in San Francisco. Planning to bust out my pencils, inks & watercolors & get back into my studio, capturing the plants, mushrooms & ingredients that capture my imagination & make their way into our recipes. ✨

Last night we shared the stage at the Brattleboro Museum with three creative, driven & kickass women in different culinary fields, talking & sharing about how we approach making food as an art (& all of us incidentally trained artists to boot). What an honor & an inspiration connecting with @cheferinbevan, @dimsumvermont & Sharon Myers, & fielding a slew of insightful questions from an enthusiastic audience in the company of @emilymasonstudio’s luminous art. Many thanks to the @brattmuseum for bringing us all together & providing a forum for us to share our process, & to all who came!
If you haven’t heard, now you’ve heard! @eatfatso has come out with a cocoa version which is killer! #yummm

Grilled king salmon (with olive oil) and garlic sautéed baby bok choy~ this is one of the simplest dishes I go to when I’m out of ideas and still want to stick to healthy and nutritious choices. Healthy diet and lifestyle is a choice, also a practice, it gets easier once you make it into a habit.
My Sis-in-love Diana @otterwise made my lunch today. Such a loving gift! Black beans, some sort of large white beans, wilted spinach, green onion tops, and olive oil plus herbs & spices. Incredible. And food is always better when it's a gift! Thanks, Diana! #yum#beansalad#foodasart#feelingloved
TONIGHT 🌿 we’ll be at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center with a group of talented area chefs to talk about our approach to the art of creating food. Join us for four very different, delicious & inspiring presentations by Sharon Myers of Sharon Myers Fine Catering, Erin Bevan of @four_columns_vt, Cai Silver of @dimsumvermont & yours truly followed by a tasting of each culinary artist’s creations. The event is from 7-8pm on Thursday January 17 and is FREE! @brattmuseum
Food as art.
Carmelized Organic Oranges. Cordon Bleu-style.
With Monkfruit sweetener instead of sugar. Five ingredients, oranges, water, sugar, love of food as art, patience. Who would have thought I needed to do anything with these amazing oranges! They were just @traderjoes organic oranges and oh do scrumptious on their own. I saved the leftover orange-soaked sugar syrup and used it for hot chocolate made with raw cocoa.
Started this week with a photoshoot for the new recipe that is coming on #easybabymeals. * As I was working through the shoot, I realized I made so many mistakes while styling this shot. I carried on till I got what I was looking for. Twice I scrapped the whole scene and started building again. *Food Photography for me is a continuous journey. I keep learning something new everytime I shoot. I am glad I chose this path. * ISO-200, 50mm lense, f/10 and 1/30. *
Is there something you Thank yourself everytime for taking a decision and you are glad you did?
I’ve been baking a lot this year and the year has only just begun ☺️ Matcha Raspberry is a wonderful combination! Also, can’t wait for the Food As Art class next month over at @illuminateclasses with @_anna_christine 🧁🥑🍋
