Every now and then you get to work on a project so awesome, it’s difficult to describe. When your passions align with your skillset in an area that you want to continue growing, amazing things can happen. When Bryan Tasaka from MOMAR asked me if I could put together an “athlete experience” video, telling the story of the race from the perspective of a competing team, I was pretty nervous but incredibly stoked to try something new (which is always a sign that you should definitely do that thing…). With a great deal of planning, coordination, and help from some seasoned MOMAR volunteers, I managed to create something I’m really proud of - a feature length film where I got to wear every hat: director, producer, camera operator, sound engineer and video editor. And of course I couldn’t have done it without an amazing team to document. Big thanks to @theonlyhobby and @kellyskidstriathlon for being the stars (and going slower than they could’ve at several points so I could keep up with them...) and of course to @mindovermountain for bringing me on board for the event this year! Movie Name: The Spy Who Dumped Me .
“The plot is lazy and gags aren’t even unfunny. The lack of lead chemistry, some creative decision-making and writing are evident in The Spy Who Dumped Me.”
SharpRatings: 3 - #Bad
I expect something greater and funnier than what we got in the shape of #TheSpyWhoDumpedMe. This unfunny, tasteless spy spoof should be your next watch. It's bitter. The film’s title might be the only great thing about this film. The story follows Audrey ( #MiaKunis) whose boyfriend dumps her, only to find that he is an international wanted spy, with help of her best friend Morgan ( #KateMcKinnon) Audrey tries to unravel a mystery that could save the world. First off, Kate McKinnon is not funny no matter how much she tried, The Spy Who Dumped Me is just another nail in that statement of mine. I really liked Mila Kunis #BadMoms sequels and expect a funny performance like that, however, she tries best in this movie but doesn’t really comes out strong, don’t get me wrong she might be the best thing the movie as to show. There are some good action sequences, most of them are played out as a comedy which also is a good thing. The movie’s biggest flaw remains its story which is intentionally and cheaply made complex, something that was never required for a spy/comedy. It should have been simple and clean. The clichéd script was a disfavor to the equally depthless, and one-dimensional characters, the actors tried their best to make The Spy Who Dumped Me work positively but it ends up looking forced and overdone. Just another trash comedy where jokes are flat and plot if mostly overdone and coherent. .
Fine action. .
Unpleasant comedy. Uninteresting plot. Kate McKinnon
Glad to announce that three (3) of films are screening at this year "Inshort Film Festival'18"
