The kid was super excited to for a family game of #scrabble . I told the boys to set it up while I finished in the kitchen. My husband had way too much fun with the tiles. Two children. I have two children🙄
In other news, the kid smoked us and it was his first time playing. I didn't even lose and I want a rematch. #competitive#familygamenight

Family game night. I make family activities a pretty big deal around here and the kids have picked up on it. We all love spending time together, doing stuff and making memories. #familygamenight
This little stinker right here.... So this morning, I woke up at 5 and checked my phone and woke Travis up because he has to get up at 4:15 for work!! #freakingoutcuzithoughthewaslate
He groans and gets up and showers for work...I quickly fall back asleep and wait for my 7 am alarm... #totallyspreadoutacrossthebed
Get up, get Reese out the door for school then drop moira off at preschool. Since I only have about 40 min till my #hiit class I get my workout in, then teach HIIT and teach mommy and me.... #workoutsonmondays
Head back to Moira’s preschool, and have about 15 min to relax in my car, do a little work then pick her up from school... #notalotofdowntime
Now it’s 12:30, I head home to most likely relax a little, then do some cleaning before Travis gets home... But I open the garage and guess what?! Travis is HOME!!! He apparently got the whole day off (he’s known for a month!) and proceeded to clean the entire downstairs, including mopping the floor and washing the couches (which I hate doing). And the counters were spotless with gifts for me!!! Apparently he woke up when I got him up, came downstairs and took a nap, then left before I got up and got school work down then ran some errands... He knows me too well, got me super comfy PJs and bath bombs and a bottle of wine and told me to relax the rest of the day, he got and cooked dinner, our favorites; steaks!! This has def been the best anniversary ever!! #rockstar#pjsfromtarget#14years#whenyouvebemarriedthatlongyougetpjsnotlingerie#steaksfordinner#familygamenight#besthusbandever#cantbelievehedidnttellmehewasoff#weddinganniversary
This past weekend was awful if I’m being honest, ( #canIGetadoover ) however there was one little glimmer of #preciousmoments when this little guy, my first born baby, asked ME, not his dad, not his teacher or LALA, no, he wanted MY HELP teaching him how to play UNO @mattel and instantly I was flooded with memories of myself and family playing that very game, the giggles, the fun competition and late nights! 💫 —— We sat down at the coffee table and he had the biggest, cheesiest grin and yalllllll oh my goodness he learned the game in 2 minutes! He soaked up ever tip I gave him and asked great questions. 💕 He could only hold 5 cards at a time, #blesshisheart 🤣 but guess what!?? He even beat us, one round and remembered to yell UNO! when he got down to ☝🏼 card left! 🤩 ——
Sometimes our older kiddos show us their independence and we are in awe half the time we forget they still have a desire and craving to learn from us. They need our attention and one on one time. This was nice. I mean, Gentry did interrupt, so we gave him his 5 cards to pretend play. And Scarlett pooped during one game. But hey, that’s what being a #momx3 looks like for me!
My momma get this #photocred@lorilyn5683 it’s nice to be in the pictures and not just taking them😍📲📸 #robertspartyof5

WHEN I DREAM 😴 My dreams can be pretty strange and random, so this game makes perfect sense to my mind.
When I Dream (4-10 players/20-40 mins) where players are a dreamer trying to recall what they see, or dream spirits giving them clues to remember.
The dreamer will put on the blindfold whilst the spirits (good, bad or a combo) will give them clues to the words on the cards. These clues will either help the dream or try to trick them into giving the wrong answers and these players score accordingly.
After the clues finish the dreamer will try and recall their dream and score based on how they do.
The spirits score based on how many correct or incorrect clues the dreamer guessed.
I originally played this at #SHUX last year and really enjoyed it. Big thanks to @reposproduction for this copy!
TICKET TO RIDE: NEW YORK 🚕 It’s time to leave behind the leisurely pace of trains for the quick taxi cabs of the big apple!
Ticket to Ride: New York (2-4 players/ 15 mins) is a scaled down, quicker version of the original game of collecting cards, destination tickets and laying some lovely little plastic vehicles on a map.
I consider the original a brilliant gateway game and perfect for introducing people to the hobby.
However, as much as I enjoyed Ticket to Ride when I first played it, my tastes have changed and now if I’m going to sit down for 1-2 hours I personally want something with a bit more depth.
For me this new version scratches that same itch in a quarter of the game length, which as far as I’m concerned suits me perfectly.
Thanks to @asmodeeuk for the copy!
Camel Up 🐫 Sometimes when I get tired of fantasy worlds I want to play a game more grounded in reality.
Camels that stand on each other's backs and a pyramid that flips upside down to spit out boulder like dice? Now that's my kind of real!
Camel Up (2-8 players/30 mins) is a fun, easy to play betting game. You are competing gamblers looking to win the most money on this prestigious race!
Races take place over a number of rounds, the camels moving according to dice which are stored and shaken inside a cardboard pyramid.
Over the course of the race you will be bet on who will be winning that leg (round) and who will win or lose overall.
Do you bet on the overall winner or loser early, gaining the biggest spoils or wait until it's more obvious who will win.
This is a great family game and a no brainer for my collection. It doesn't get played a lot but always brings about laughs when it does.
