Oatmeal is one of my go-to’s in the summer. I make a big pot in the beginning of the week, and we eat it cold with a splash of milk. Anyone else an oatmeal-all-year person? Or do you save it only for the winter? —
Once my kids were 8+ months, they ate the same type of oats as the rest of the family (no more of the baby stuff!). And cooking one meal for everyone is always the goal 🙌 (breakfast too!).
—- This version uses @bobsredmill steel cut oats, ground flaxseed, and shredded coconut 🥥, and a grated pear 🍐 and is cooked in coconut milk instead of regular which makes it nice and sweet. Canned coconut milk is full of fat that is important for baby’s brain development. And that fat makes it super filling too.
I take a few ounces of oatmeal and portion it out to freeze for my youngest in the @beaba_usa multi portion freezer trays. Having that freezer stash always comes in handy for busy mornings and babysitter days.
Who doesn't love porridge?
I defy anyone to not like at least one combination of toppings you can add to it.
This morning we were like the three bears (plus one toddler bear and a granny bear) all with our individual additions to our bowls!

How many calories in your breakfast???
My go-to breakfast is whole grain oats with water and egg whites. Topped with frozen berries, butter and cinnamon. Total 403 calories including milk for coffee ☕️ We all eat the same but quantities and toppings are different ☺️
