I'm so thankful I was able to capture this fun day! Snow like this is so rare where we live, so we took full advantage with a day full of building a snowman, drinking hot cocoa, and sledding. I made a fun vlog about it, link in bio 😘
Now I'm looking forward to all of our fun summer adventures we have planned 😁
Hi 😊, 🦋@ the Bjørvika neighbourhood waterfront of central Oslo🇳🇴,at the head of the Oslofjord. Behind me you can recognize the iconic Oslo Opera House the home of The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and the national opera theatre in 🇳🇴 .It is considered to be one of the most iconic modern buildings of Scandinavia .🌸It is indeed magnificent inside and outside ;you can walk all the way to its roof and have a panoramic view of Oslo .It is dominated by white marble, glass and wood, and not only it has become Oslo centre of arts and culture, it is also a public space for people to meet.It was designed by the Norwegian Snohetta architects, who won the architectural bid in 1999. 🌸construction began in 2003 and was finished in 2008. Some say that (Operahuset in Norwegian) resembles a glacier, slowly sliding into the lapping water of the fjord.
Have you been to Operahuset 🇳🇴? How does it look to you ? A glacier or a ski slope?
Happy Birthday Scoutie! 3 today 🥳 You are the friendliest little dude, always waving at strangers and making friends wherever you go. You have NO FEAR 😅 - A few days ago some older kids referred to you as a ‘savage’ at the skatepark (as you joyfully descended the steepest drop on your balance bike 🙈🤣). Your vocab astounds me (a 2 year old speaking about a funicular?!). You love dressing like your big brother Spike, who you say is your best friend 💕 You love a cuddle and always want to make people happy when they are sad. You’re such a little Aussie - saying things like ‘what are you eating, mate?!’ And speaking about eating, you are like a seagull, always stealing food off other people’s plates 😊 We love you big guy and can’t wait to see what adventures the next year has in store for you ✨
P.S. Scout wanted a chocolate cake with red icing - I used a delicious @noshufoods#sugarfree cake mix (the kids were non the wiser 😉). For the icing I just used cream cheese, nuttelex, stevia and a ton of red food colouring! No sugar drama on this birthday 🍰🙌
Have you ever heard of Forrest Fenn’s Treasure? About 9 years ago he hid a million dollars worth of treasure in the mountains north of Santa Fe, Mexico. He wrote a poem with clues giving the location. Today we took a glorious hike through the mountains and looked for that treasure. It was so much fun! Lucky for us...we have the greatest treasure of all...a beautiful family that loves each other! #myvacationpants

We’ve gone wild and entered the jungle 😜🌿🦜 it’s so beautiful here, definitely a place where you gotta strap on your adventure hat and leave the fancy pants at home! 😬🐒 The other morning when we woke up the floor outside our door was alive with ants 🐜 they were busy cleaning up after the bats nightly feast of jungle fruit! After a little panic with biting ants up our legs and a lot of sweeping we somewhat won the right to walk on the floor again... The views here are amazing, the rock pool is magical and the surrounding jungle is green and alive. However we were a little better at this kind of adventure before the baby 😂 we are slowly adjusting to travel life as parents! Learning as we go ❤️ #travellingwithkids#thailand#rejsemedbørn#rejsemedbaby#phanombencha#fionaluciatravels#familyadventure#jungle#rockpool
I think a real adventure requires a little unplanned discomfort, and this water was COLD! After coming up the east side of the creek we decided to make it a loop - the other side was more developed and faster, and we wanted to make it out at a decent time. But it meant crossing this shallow creek. I had O sit this one out on my shoulders, but Logan thought he wanted to keep going back and forth (negating our time benefit 😂), and Kayla built some character and grew a little - once she put her toe in she wasn’t super excited to cross. Luckily @tiffanylball was there to show her how a strong girl can do hard things, and once she committed she just sprinted across! The sand on the other side was warm from the sun, and we enjoyed it and the view for a bit while we got our socks and shoes back on. The time we were trying to make up was probably lost, but we had an adventure, and it was a great way to start off the Spring.
Raising a true Pacific Northwest child. He loves to eat salmon, watch salmon migrate, and play on salmon-themed playgrounds (of which there are surprisingly many around here - exhibit A in La Conner and exhibit B at Lake Sammamish). What can I say - we PNWers love our fish! 🐟

But when they give their body the proper fuel, they excel. HALE is here to help!
Our endocannabinoid system regulates many bodily functions including memory, appetite, and metabolism. Research has shown that cannabidiol, one of 100+ cannabinoids found in HALE’s Hemp Oil Extract, beneficially acts on these systems by helping bring them back into balance. ✔️ Ever ridden a camel?
Camels have a particular style of walking that’s perfect for the loose sandy desert surroundings. Instead of trying to resist the camel’s gentle swaying by forcing yourself to sit upright and still the whole time, move with the camel, not against it. In other words: relax your body and breathe deeply — the less tension you hold in your body, the more comfortable the ride. Ask me about travel offers to destinations where travel by camel is standard!

Today was Maks' first try outs! 🤗🏒🤩
What's its like to have a young athlete? ✔It's a lot of work for parents (working your schedule around your kids/ dropoffs & pickups and sometimes switching duties with your partner) ✔it's exciting for a kid(when every day starts with a question: what am playing/ doing today after school?) ✔it improves their behavior at school and increases their attention span 👌🏼
✔it's a lot of stinky shoes and loads of laundry 🤪
✔sometimes it's even a missed HW that we have to catch up to in the AM.. those zzz sneak up on you after practice 😴
✔it's pricey, but our kids should be where we invest our 💵 in
✔it builds caracter and discipline 🙌🏼
✔and yes, it's the best childhood they could ask for.
What do your kids play/do/ enjoy?
I need recommendations for Liza( possibly ballet?)
Although only a few months into 2019, we‘re already starting to plan our travel destinations for 2020.
Spoiler alert: We are thinking about going back to Southeast Asia! Have you made any 2020 destination plans yet?
I can’t help but share another photo of Terra posing within temple corridors. But I also love this shot because just look at those detailed carvings. 😻
Bringing her along with us in Cambodia wasn’t the easiest, she couldn’t handle the heat as well as us. And it was even a struggle for us at times! 😅 For some of the temples she stayed back in the tuk tuk and rested. She also just wanted to drink mango shakes the entire time, instead of eat actual food 😂 Her usual phrase was “I want something tasty.” Well I can’t disagree with that, I’m still dreaming of those shakes! The long bus rides were a struggle, especially with lack of reliable wifi. But we did it and I’m happy to look back on these memorable photos of her in these amazing places.
What are some of the common hardships you deal with when traveling with kids, or even without kids?
“I’m young and should be able to do the things I want to do! For instance I couldn’t even go on a hike before I discovered Hemp Oil, I truly wish I would’ve been introduced to this earlier.” Zac Age 24

When others were sitting on the beach, we ran around among the wildflowers. ✌️🌼 Have you heard about or seen the superbloom in California yet? #california#superbloom

When you’re too cool for school, because you’re out for Spring Break 😎⠀
It was so important to us that our packs have comfortable, well-fitting shoulder straps. Because let’s face it, if they’re not, they won’t carry them! These straps have extra padding, fit adjusters, reinforced seems, and a chest strap. The best fit for the best kids ⭐️ #gowanderwild

It was with reluctance, I agreed to go to the Gold Coast to do the theme park trio. Not a fan of rides, I had a preconception that it would be boring. Happily, I was completely wrong.
We arrived and lucked an upgrade to a huge penthouse suite with this fabulous view. Sunsets were amazing. Then the fun and enjoyment of the crazy theme parks won me over.
Sometimes, letting go of expectations and preconceptions is liberating. Going with the flow and enjoying the fun was a much better choice.
When we started our fulltime travel adventure, we were hoping to inspire other people through our travels. Inspire them to make trips of there own, nearby or far away, for shorter or longer period of time.
We were hoping to do so through our Instagram and blog. We still have a lot of work on the blog (100 different ideas for blog articles, but just not enough hours in 1 day 🙈), but here on instagram we already want to answer some of your questions. So first of all, thank you for following our adventures! And if you would like to know anything, please just ask! We’ll devote a post, story or blog article on it!
The question we get most of all is how do you afford to travel full time with two kids? No, we did not win the lotery (although that is our long term plan 😉) and we are not rich. The main thing is cutting the costs and maximizing our incomes. We rented out our house, are travelling low budget (I am writing a blog article on that) and work while we travel. Being digital nomads as they call it.
We use to have our own webshop/physical shop, but left that business with pain in our hearts to discover new horizons. My husband was already a web developer as a side job for some years. Since we are travelling he is working full time on this and trying to grow this business. So anyone wanting a new webshop, professional blog, website, ... only one address 😜. Being a marketeer, I am trying to build an online blog/social media presence that hopefully will generate an income in the long term. We hope in several years we both will have a steady online income, generated in many different ways.
Do you work and travel? Earn your money online? Or have another question for us? Please let us know!

At the moment many small "To Dos" are on our list, which will bring us even more in the location-independent and financial freedom.
Which does not mean that we no longer want to live in Germany, it simply means not being tied to one place / country and job / employer.
So get out of the "system" (an illusion of security)
Everything can change instantly.
If you're #slolocal and know where we live, then you're probably aware that we have some pretty outrageous wild flower views this time of year.⠀
We are getting to the "peak" of the season, where nearly all of the flowers that will bloom are out, and the hills look like someone took a paintbrush to them they are so colorful.⠀
Our 60 mile drives to and from town get a little more captivating for these few weeks out of the year, and we get to be in awe each time we step out our door. #lucky <3⠀
If you're interested in seeing some of these views for yourself, take a drive out and (politely, respectfully) check out what nature has to offer. If you'd like to be more fully immersed, check out the mini photo sessions that @burleyandbarley are offering, or come have a campout with @temblormountainpacktrain on the @twisselmanranch . You definitely won't be disappointed - there is so much to see!!! =D⠀
(please keep in mind that private property and traffic safety laws still apply and are IMPORTANT, even when there are beautiful things to see <3).
