When I finish my evening meditation I write down my thoughts and this one I found from Feb 2018 made me smile as it’s super sweet....
Love can change the course - of course?! 🌿🧙🏻♂️🦋 well there you go.... of course love can change the course. LOVE all the way *ram dass voice* . Choose love, and create a shift, the power of love.
Ps I dream this is where Lady Polifalina resides in all her fairy magikkkkkk ✨🌙🧚🏼♀️
During a recent talk one of the subjects discussed was the idea that within folklore and mythology we have many accounts of people experiencing something unusual, spiritual or even frightening at ancient sites.
After the experience the person ends up changed somehow and in certain cases for the better, although accepting the change may also instigate a separation from a previous lifestyle.
In Irish mythology, of course, we also have stories of characters meeting 'the good people' or the gods and goddesses unexpectedly and, following an ordeal, are then given a magical gift for passing the test.
This is not unique to Ireland and recurs in myths the world over from the Norse and Greek tales to those of North America and New Zealand.
Similarly, in folklore, what initially seems to be a dangerous and nerve wracking meeting with fairies might ultimately result in a new talent or power. (Providing you don’t end up insulting them or falling for one of their tricks, of course!)
You might argue that these encounters can also be read in a very personal and symbolic way. After all, initiation itself involves approaching a fear and conquering it, only to emerge with a new, higher perspective and the gift of interacting with the world differently.
Shamanic initiation, on the other hand, is often accidental or occurs as the result of an illness or a life threatening situation. It is, in many cases, unasked for.
Some might argue that a person’s path is inevitable and that there are no accidents. Certainly in indigenous tradition if you are destined to become a shaman it can be incredibly dangerous and foolhardy to try to avoid your fate.
In Nepalese shamanism, for example, the primal shaman, Banjhankri, is responsible for choosing those who are destined to become shaman themselves.
Banjhankri dwells in the wilderness with his spouse, Banjhankrini. These deities represent the wild and ferocious powers found in nature and the spirit realms. They are order and chaos, creation and destruction. Light and dark fairies exist on a binary and most all fairies are either light or dark but there is some wiggleroom for being lighter or darker
Light and dark does not mean good or bad.
It's about where they get energy from.
From an earlier post:
I think Palaye are dark fay.
Fairies can be light or dark. This does not mean good or evil it just means where a fairy gets most of their energy. A light fairy will soak up the energy from sun and a chattering crowd at a outdoor festival. A dark fairy will get more energy from shadows and the backstage at a dim lit venue where the sound of a screaming crowd carries before a show.
Remember that light fairies can behave horrible and dark fairies can be the sweetest in the world and what kind of fairy someone is doesnt make them good or bad #palayeroyale#sebastiandanzig#emersonbarrett#palayearefay#fairy#fairies#fairiesarereal
Summer is coming, time for drawing some winter pictures 💗 well, I'm actually working on new clothes for Lumi (character of my short manga "snow in december" that only exists in a completet 15 pages long storyboard cause I never had time for this. Maybe someday 🤣). I know Lumi is a girls name 🙄 but I think it fits a boy too and I mean in which time do we live? So his name is Lumi! His wings are inspired by wings of a dragon fly... just inspired, they don't really look alike.
Secret is back home. She's been on loan at RHS Garden Wisley for the past 2 years and we brought her back last weekend.
Also it’s your last chance to use the promo code ‘DAD15’ and get 15% off in our Etsy shop (link in bio) as the promotion ends on the 26th May.
