Happy happy Tuesday!! Tuesday is my favorite day of the week😊 Fun fact: the love of oatmeal runs in my family... my mom and dad love their oats too!😂My dad likes to have oatmeal every weekend, so on Sunday for Father’s Day, I made a bowl for him! 👉🏻 @quaker quick oats with a chopped Envy apple and cinnamon! 😍 hope you peeps have a happy Tuesday!!!🎉

But we decided to keep our favorites aside and try something new @khubz_and_meleh
Literally translating to bread and salt, this Business Bay eatery offers much more than just these basics. Boasting of lake views along with an alfresco seating and a traditional-looking interior space, this restaurant offers a mix of both contemporary as well as conventional Lebanese fare.
Although we were there to try out their Iftar, all these dishes are a part of their regular menu as well, which means you can walk in to the restaurant and order anything off these pictures! We started off with the cold mezzeh which came with Hummus, Fattoush, Moutabal, Lentil Soup and a couple of vegetarian bean based appetizers.
Next up was Chickpeas Ghee Fattah, a yogurt and chickpeas porridge which was slightly creamy, quite sour and very rich. Not something that I'd order again. On the other hand, the hot mezzeh selection with kibbeh and fatayer was quite good.
What followed was the mains. We ordered one portion of Kebbeh Labanieh and one of Yabrek. In all honesty, I am not a very big fan of mutton or yogurt or vine leaves so it was quite difficult for me to settle with either of these. Unfortunately, their Iftar menu had only 3 main dishes and all were mutton. I would have certainly preferred an option of something that's chicken based (there are lot of items on the menu), or rather being asked if I would rather have another main course from the menu than just being limited to these.
Quite a respite after having almost nothing for mains, I was glad to to try this Kunafah styled desserts. Filled with oozing sweet cheese and covered in a sugary syrup, this was quite calorie laden, but well I was fasting, so that was my excuse.
Finally, we ended our meal with a unique presentation of black tea. The tea was the best part of my evening there.

Do you know there’s an outlet there as well?☺️ While serving their signature dim sum items such as Steamed Siew Mai, Fried Prawn Dumplings. You got to try their new Fried Pork Dumpling with Prawn Bits too!😋👍🏻 Also at Changi’s outlet they have newly launched an exclusive dinner menu, serving items like Steamed Sliced Fish with Black Fungus, vinegar pig’s trotters, Fried rice and many more hearty dishes! A great place to gather your loved ones for a delightful treat!☺️

You guys. I made the “Make Mamma Happy Burger” for @schnuckmarkets#AllAboutTheBurgers campaign and it was 💯🔥 🙌🏻👌🏼!! Seriously, such good flavor. Never underestimate the power of a portabella mushroom burger. See the recipe below to try it out tonight!
RECIPE: Prep the mushrooms by removing the stems and scraping out the gills with a spoon. Drizzle mushroom with olive oil, salt & pepper and grill over direct heat for 8 minutes, or until tender (mine were thick and took longer!).
Make the burger by toasting a multigrain bun (I used @companionbaker!). Then, spread one side with garlic aioli (mix mayo, garlic, lemon, salt, pepper) and spread @sabra roasted garlic hummus on the other. Layer spinach leaves + sliced cucumber + sliced tomato and a grilled mushroom. Enjoy! 🌱🍄
