Today is a religious public holiday in Germany. It is mid-spring now and the weather is super since morning to late afternoon in most Southern Germany. Although thunder and rain came later in the evening. I have mood for photography... Yes, a Castle not too far away. So we drove to Lichtenstein about 60km away to visit one of the most popular castles in South Germany. Lichtenstein castle (in German: Schloss Lichtenstein, translates as "shining stone") was designed by Carl Alexander Heideloff. It has been described as the fairy tale castle of Württemberg. This castle was built in Gothic Revival style in 18th century. It is overlooking Echaz valley near Honau, Reutlingen in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
