There is one biiig reason I'm not really a fan of cities... Well 2. Too much pollution and NOT ENOUGH plants. Well here is a little slice of jungle heaven right over the bridge from the city. 🌿 It was a 40 degree sunny dry day turned into the 70s with humidity and clean air to breathe. There are actually days here where we have burn bans (including fire places) bc the air pollution is so bad. Main pollutant is Particle Matter 2.5 which is ridiculously bad to breathe in esp for sensitive groups. So to say this little greenhouse was a breath of fresh air is a sad but true accurate statement. 😳😉
#tbt to a September stroll around Lake Padden. Today there’s fewer hours of sunlight per day, less leaves on the trees, and a lot more wind. But so far this season, it feels like winter is skipping right over us in the coastal lowlands. Thank God fall is my favorite season, because it never really seems to end here in Western WA!
Wintery reflections || I saw these Reeds and I thought there has to be a composition here for perhaps a lovely b&w image. I feel it turned out fairly nice with the very ethereal looking reeds bending to the left, combined with the reflections of the snowy landscape and the curvy lines in the sand under the water //
If you are a dog owner and like traveling with your four-legged friend that also means you are on the lookout for pet-friendly accommodations and activities. Anacortes has two off-leash dog parks, and over 50 miles of multiple use trails, and some include and long stretches of beach. Popular dog walking spots are Washington Park, Ship Harbor Interpretive Preserve Trail, Tommy Thompson Trail, Guemes Island Trail, and Bowman Bay and Rosario Head, which are part of Deception Pass State Park.

When I see the water, all my sorrow is washed away 🌤
Always so good to get back to my favourite beach. So many awesome memories with my cousins and siblings jumping off “bombie’s rock” and exploring rock pools as a kid. Plus such an all round unreal spot as far as rock formations and pristine water! 💖🙌
