I just wanted to take a quick minute to say, Thanks Mama Earth For Being So Rad!
Thanks for putting up with us humans and all our shenanigans. Thanks for sustaining us through bad decisions and destructive habits. And thanks for being patient as we figure out how to fix things. You're the best.

Today is #earthday2019 and we probably couldn’t have spent it in a better way than going to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge just about an hour and a half north of OKC. This morning when my friend told me that we were going on a hike and there’s a chance we may see buffalo, I literally cried. We entered the refuge (free entree) and right on the side of the road about a half mile in we found a small herd of buffalo grazing. Yup, I cried again. Another highlight was that the prairie dogs just had their babies! So we posted up and watched the families of prairie dogs wresting and snuggling. Other wildlife highlights: longhorns and elk. •
• #wichitamountainswildliferefuge run by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service has protected wildlife in Oklahoma since 1901. With about 59k acres they protect about 240 species of birds, 50 species of mammals, 64 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 36 species of fish on top of all of the large mammals we saw today. •
If you ever make your way to Oklahoma, I highly recommend spending at least a day here.

Happy Earth Day! 🌎
We just wrapped up an action packed weekend, covering 40 miles in 3 days through Arizona’s Superstition Wilderness and Sedona.
Our VLOG post will be up Wednesday this week! In the meantime, here’s a pic of us at Cathedral Rock enjoying sunset 🌅

Oh Earth 🌍 ❤️!!! On a non-earth day note I PASSED my FLS which pretty much makes me a general surgeon 😂 j/k but really and I kind of did a good job and above average on my scores 🤷🏻♀️🤗💡!!!!! ⠀

Arizona: 40 miles in 3 days.
We started the weekend with a backpacking trip deep into the Superstition Wilderness.
90 degrees, 26 miles, 2 days.
With sore feet and sweaty clothes, we returned to our car and headed to Sedona.
We woke up before sunrise and throughout the day were able to squeeze in 4 very popular hikes, staying on our feet until sunset.
Over the course of those 72 hours, I was blown away by the beauty and diversity of Arizona’s wilderness, and I found myself reflecting on why I love the outdoors so much.
From rocky mountains, to snow packed peaks, to dry desert, this Earth gives us so much. Earth and water are our life force. It’s easy to become disconnected when we can easily get water from turning a faucet, but when you spend 2 hours filtering gallons of water to prevent dehydration, you appreciate it a little bit more.
No matter how you choose to celebrate the outdoors, remember how much this beautiful land gives to us, and give a little back. Happy Earth Day 🌎

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 “We live on this speck called Earth - think about what you might do, today or tomorrow - and make the most of it.” -Neil deGrasse Tyson
One of my favorite places to escape the noise of everyday life is on top of a mountain.
I’m lucky enough to live super close to the Appalachian Trail so I get out as much as I can. Carver’s Gap is breathtaking, no matter how many times I’ve seen it.
It’s crazy how it quiets your mind just to get away. To smell the blooming rhododendrons, feel the wind gently blowing in your hair, and hear the crush of the rocks and twigs as you ascend is so freeing. I feel like I can do or be anything I want here.
“See that line where the sky meets the sea, it calllllllls meeee.” We’re notorious for being late to the game on everything, but we finally watched Moana this weekend, and it turns out you’re never too old for a good Disney movie. It seems fitting that I’ve spent Earth Day singing the chorus to this song approximately 987575 times. I don’t know any of the other words, because 🤷🏻♀️, but I do know we need more adventures in Hawaii stat.

These are just some of the incredible parts of the Earth that I have seen in the last year. These sights, experiences and wonders are there - just waiting for us! Go breathe it in, sit in it, let it inspire you... And then, please - PLEASE - learn to be an advocate. 🌳
You can buy less single-use items. You can participate in local clean-up days. You can write letters. You can teach others in classrooms or casual conversation. You can be a conscientious spender by supporting companies that priotize eco-friendly operations. You can start recycling or composting. There are SO many things you can do and places you can start.
If you have questions, if you don't understand why this is important, if you aren't sure what more you can do, I am putting out an open invitation for discussion. Let's learn to be better together!
So many times, the Earth seems to naturally carve out a perfect spot from which to stand in awe of the beauty of a waterfall or landscape. The Earth is meant to be respectfully enjoyed by humans. Nature is our refuge. Happy Earth Day 😊
I'm enjoying seeing more photos of myself in the mountains. Although I love photography, I'm a total ham for attention by the lens. Not saying im attractive or photogenic but I just enjoy being on both sodes of the cameras I guess. I was checking my photos in this photo. Hard to see photo playback in glacier glasses sometimes. Happy Earth Day all you lovely people!!! 🍃🌎🕊✨ Get outside and soak in all of the beauty that surrounds us. Much needed me-time in my happy places today. 😌 Heart is grateful and happy.

😎 Probably the last snow activity this season. I really fell in love with winter this year. There are so many fun cold-weather activities to do in the PNW! Snowshoeing, skiing, x-country skiing, and sunrise hikes at a reasonable hour.
