Here’s my last Cherry Blossom appreciation post for now. Swipe left to see more flowers and adorable Alpacas!
These friendly sweethearts were just roaming and munching on the blossoms, which just topped the entire experience overlooking Lake Rotorua. 🌸
Hāngi is a traditional New Zealand Māori method of cooking food using heated rocks buried in a pit oven, also called an umu. It is still used for large groups on special occasions.
What is in a hangi?
After a day of torrential rain on the west coast we made it up to Mount Fox (basically a vertical climb on slippery roots and rocks) with a impressive view over Fox Glacier. The mountains were all covered in clouds but at least we stayed dry.
When James and I were watching Ozark, I told him I love him with my whole heart, and he responded “if the Cartel was after us, I’d move to Australia with you,” which is kind of the same thing I guess. 🤔 Anyway. I just love love and all the ways people show it - like this sweet little fam that melted my heart 💕
Day 3, 670 km from Christchurch. Just in time to catch the last lights on #thatwanakatree

I've always spent my Easter weekend with my family and my brother @oom_arras. I remember how we used to hunt for those Easter eggs way back when we were little. It was always a good egg hunt - every man for himself though.
This Easter however is the first Easter without them. Me being in NZ and all that. I suppose I could say I took those times for granted, and didn't realise quite how special they were.
I hope you all got to spend time with your families. I know @willowtucker is camping out in the #baviaanskloof with her family, which is awesome!
Did any of you do anything cool with your families this Easter?

Split Apple Rock - Tokangawhā is a naturally occurring granite rock formation in the Tasman Bay of New Zealand. Natural beauty at its best.
1. The sun here doesn't hide for too long, even the rain is nicer than in Germany
2. Never knew that people could be sooo nice 😊
3. Getting used to a different system is hard, but its doable. It just requires patience 🤔 I guess?
4. The utility bill is as powerful as the power itself 🤦♀️
5. Seeing water every day is AMAZING
6. Fish & Chips can actually taste good 😮
7. Driving on the left side of the road is the right way to go 👍 and you are f***** without a car here...
8. Horrible things can turn into something good ❤
9. Possessions do not define you
10. I am extremly clumsy and that will never ever change 🤷♀️
11. My grammar and my accent sucks 😭

Morning rain through a dirty windscreen; Arthur’s Pass has such a weird micro-climate, ten minutes back down the windy road and it’s all sunshine.
We often get asked what our favorite spot in New Zealand is, but looking back on our trip we really can't pick just one favorite.
It's the diversity and variety of landscapes that gives this country countless amazing places to visit. We'll ofcourse be writing about all these places in our blog, but it is way better to see it with your own eyes.
