I described this as a bit like the path to Mordor in my instastory. This huge cleft descends almost the full height of the mountain, and its a little scary looking down it, made worse by the misty conditions.
It was an exhausting day. I was carrying too much camera gear and my ailing knees didn’t enjoy it. Then there was the driving rain and snow showers. But two summits bagged and a well earned beer afterwards.

This has been one of my best received Stag pics. I love the way the doe are positioned they kinda mimic the Stags antlers! They stared me out a good 2 mins here before sauntering into the woodland.
