"Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather." John Ruskin | 📸 @richpariswilson
Missing the days in Iceland with some of most insane landscape i ever seen. The reknowned Skogafoss from above actually doesn't look that huge, but trust me it's gigantic! and as per all waterfalls in Iceland, you're bound to get wet 😂
#ReimagineIceland

the walk to brúarfoss was beautiful and the water there was so blue ✨
The horses of Vestrahorn voted for independence from the Icelandic state in a failed referendum, citing their inability to hold a pen. Their mood is optimistic in the lead up to a new vote however, as they anticipate more horse friendly voting booths.

The Icelandic coastline is stunning all around the island. 🇮🇸
The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland's most popular attractions, and it's not hard to see why! The beautiful milky-blue opaque water makes a stark contrast to the surrounding black lava field covered with dark green moss.
The Blue Lagoon is a large lake that has the perfect temperature to bathe in, on average it's 39°C/102°F. It is situated on the Reykjanes peninsula in southwest Iceland. It is only a 15-minute drive from the international airport of Keflavík, or around a 30-minute drive from the capital city of Iceland, Reykjavík. That makes it the perfect first stop when arriving in Iceland, or the last stop before you leave the country.
Combined with its excellent location and its soothing waters and rich skin nourishment, the Blue Lagoon quickly became Iceland's most visited attraction, rivalled only by the Golden Circle sightseeing tour.
Best time to visit is late at night to enjoy the midnight sun in summer or the Northern Lights in winter.

There is this one tiny little moment in my childhood that I remember to this day. I was in Tripsdrill, a small amusement park in southern Germany, sitting alone in a self-driving car on rails. Both hands firmly holding the steering wheel, the straw bag, that I always took with me at the time, carefully placed on the passenger seat. I still remember this proud feeling so well, sitting in that car just driving along without a destination - I thought this must be how wonderful and carefree adults feel.
And now I'm here in the very west of Iceland, remembering that brief moment, probably more than 30 years ago, and feeling just the same: free, happy and adventurous. Unfortunatly without the straw basket.

Icelandic landscapes with their black sand and gorgeous mountains! If you’ve been following our stories you’ll know we’re currently in Thailand. The land of smiles! We traded in the merino and down layers for some shorts and sneakers. We’re loving it here but I think I kinda prefer winters 🙈 Photographers: I wish I had focus stacked this image because I really liked the black sand as foreground, but I had never done it before so got lazy. Hindsight!
When Iceland comes to people’s mind I guess the most common images in our brain are things like ice (of course!), mountains, cold, waterfalls, great natural untouched landscapes…. Well that’s all pretty much great! It’s true. Nevertheless there is one place pretty much out of the ordinary of what you would expect to find in this place… a plane wreckage in the middle of an enormous beach!
This old DC-3 belongs to the American Navy and it crash landed back in the 70’s while flying over Iceland on a military exercice. No one really knows why it crashed, some say it was icing, some say it was aliens :)….well, looking at this landscape behind it I would easily go for the aliens part!
After a long 4km walk completely in dark, through a beach, guided only by our head lights, on foot, and (thank God) our Google Maps, we finally reached the holyground of photography! Well, as many of you know there are endless versions of pictures of this place… I tried to be a little original and capture it from a different perspective.
I have to say also, in this we were blessed with the most extraordinary shower of Aurora like I’ve never seen before… I will get back to this with more shots later, I think you won’t regret the wait!
Follow me on this adventure...stay tunned for the coming shots and videos!
