Lunch in Amsterdam today: a buddha bowl with chickpeas, avo, edamame, quinoa, cauli, arugula, beets, walnuts, pumpkin and tahini-dressing🙌 My selfconfidence is improving so much since I started travelling alone. Just today I left my comfort zone again by sitting alone in a café and by asking strangers to take a picture of me🙈 This may not seem like a big challenge to some people but for me it's much😅 And I'm happy and maybe even a little proud (I hope I'm allowed to say this without coming across as selfish🙈) because I made so much progress just within less than 2 month✨

"Large male orangutan in his prime, such amazing creatures, the power, strength, confidence just radiated from him, it was a huge privilege to see him swing though the trees, bending trees and branches as he went, he stopped to watch us watching him, a magical connection when our eyes met, he felt like a superior being looking into me reading my mind, he was in complete control. Total respect for this king of the forest." Repost from @phil_thorogood - seeing a male orangutan in the wild. #mysteptoprotect

"Unless you strongly believe in Elon Musk‘s idea of making Mars another habitable planet, do remember that there really is no 'Planet B' in this whole universe."
Waste, and how we choose to handle it affects our world. In view of this,we need to adopt more sustainable practices for managing waste. Reduce Reuse Recycle.
The 3Rs are quite popular, but how well do we understand and practice them?
Reduce: Maximize efficiency and avoid unnecessary consumption by reducing the amount of waste we generate and the amount of virgin materials extracted and used in the production of goods. Find ways to cut down on your consumption, refuse to buy items you don't need, buy recycled, repairable and refillable goods, buy durable goods with longer warranty.
Reuse: Instead of throwing materials away,we could reuse them in their original form or pass them on to those who may need them. We need to be resourceful and improvise when necessary,be more charitable and donate materials such as old books, clothes, equipments, etc, instead of disposing them.
Opt for multi-use items and avoid buying disposable materials.
It's simple logic...If less waste is generated from reducing and reusing, there'd be less to recycle, saving energy.
Recycle: Give your waste another chance at life! Instead of disposing items you no longer need, take them to recycling centres to be processed into new and useful products, decreasing the need for new materials and so much energy. Recycling reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators.
The 3Rs are the most effective ways to conserve natural resources, save energy and protect the environment.
Who would have thought that the preservation of our world would depend on a tripled letter (3Rs)?
You may be wondering how you can incorporate these principles in your everyday life. Wonder no more! WeDiscover is here to keep you informed.

A July 2018 report from NHTSA in cooperation with the EPA and DOE projects a global average temperature increase of 7°F by the end of the century. The document uses this to call for a ROLLBACK of auto emissions standards because if the planet is already going to be ruined for human habitation by greenhouse gasses, the administration figures what harm can more pollution do? They have gone from denial of climate change to admission that it is an anthropogenic reality and use of that scientific reality to try to justify policies that will exacerbate the problem. Please keep this in mind as you vote.

Did you know that toxic persistent pesticides aren’t allowed in organic farming? These chemicals can be harmful to our health, the environment as they break down very slowly, remaining in our soil, water and air. Some of these chemicals can continue to cause damage for decades after they’re first used. Get the facts on our blog and share us with your friends.
The next stop on our tour was Tromsø, and it was another successful day. @skadal , although slightly nervous this time, held a lecture followed by a workshop, where 9 people came together to start up a new local chapter ✨ Just look at all those beautiful hustlers! We can't wait to work more with these people in the future for a better world 🌍
