A good leader understands that leadership is RESPONSIBILITY not POWER . They take responsibility for their actions which includes both failures and successes.
When leaders are accountable for things within their power and control, they are being responsible.

Dom Perignon 2002 Plenitute 2.
Elevation to the next level.
A truly magical moment captured as we gazed, entranced by the smells, mesmerised by the sounds and blown away by the view, over the carpet of clouds with El Teide standing as a dominant figure over the whole proceedings. And, as the stars took over we were lifted, elevated even, by the precision, the elegance and the beauty of the wine. A moment of true intoxication.
For me the plenitude concept has been waiting for a vintage like 02, with enough potential depth to unlock and for the benefits of longer cork ageing to reveal themselves to both complement and elevate the Champagne. Beyond the narrative it is a wine, a concept, that for me finally makes sense. Something that needs no comparison. Drawing an already heady zenith to an even more dazzling height. It reveals new facets to the vintage and importantly new depths to the experience especially on the mid to late palate.
The nose reveals the very essence of DP but with a touch more urgency and more vibrancy. Lemon zest with a hint of brioche. So elegant.
The front end leads you in sublimely. So poised and well placed.
The mid palate gave some fascinating flavours of orange bitters, honey, patisserie notes, and including, and I can't be sure if I had been brainwashed after a day at the banana plantation but, bananas with a light dusting of sea salt! What is fascinating though is, although all this wonderful autolytic yummyness does add some lateral breadth it doesn't remove any of the delightful elegance that you expect in DP. And the way it does it is by adding this sensational level of tension. This is where the finish steps in.
And that is where this wine takes it to the next level. A wonderfully balanced saline layer with a play of citrus bitters that dances on the tongue and draws you back in perfectly. So pure, so precise, so brilliant. And it just doesn't end... For the first time you understand the elevation, the impact and the energy that this wine delivers.
