#DayTwentyOne • Instagram, I didn't think this day would come. 😅 If it's true, and it takes twenty one days to create a habit, then today I'm grateful for a new set of eyes. Eyes that see kindness and compassion - especially towards myself. Eyes that see joy and growth - even in the dark. Eyes that see both outwards and inwards - and everything inbetween. • I didn't know if I could just power through to day twenty one. There were days when I personalized everything and I felt like people just didn't wanna see a native happy. • So, instead of cussing everyone out, I journaled that shit. I thanked those people for teaching me how to be kinder to myself when the world won't be. I expressed gratitude for all the good and bad. And I definitely feel joy as an end result. • I think I'd like to continue and see how I feel after a year. But, I'd like to weave something new into my life as well. • Today, I woke up and understood that who I am makes a difference in this world, all my friends have shown me that in such diverse ways these past twenty one days. • And I'm grateful for that. • Today is proof that, one day at a time, you can create a life your passionate about. You can create a community that values you. You can soak in self-love and flourish. • What's makes you grateful on this Monday? • 🖖🏽♥️ Q

“Why come all the way to Canada to get engaged?” For Didsbury! Yeah, that little town here in Alberta. Kylie’s favorite show was filmed in parts of Didsbury and she was desperate to come to this freezing tundra to see the tv scenes in real life. So hey, if you’re down the watch Wynnona Earp, you’ll see a little piece of Alberta too 👌🏻
Travel is one of the greatest motivators of my life. I love to go places, see things, absorb the beauty and uniqueness of the world. 💕
I love everything about a new place. I pay attention to the differences in culture, architecture, vegetation... I just want to experience it all. 💕
I have been some pretty amazing places, though Peru was undoubtedly my favorite.
Where is your favorite place you have been and where are you dying to go?
Happy Monday everyone✨!
The blog updates from the 2018 sessions are continuing this week, and today it's featuring a great session held last April. Half of the session was dedicated to Kaylee's grad 👩🏼🎓portraits, and the other half to a family session.
Check it out to see what a combination session looks like in studio (along with a few outside!). Link can be found in my bio.
Here's to a great week❤️! MUA: @facesbynathalie

Hey Friends! Do you know anyone who would be a good fit for this?
I’m looking for motivated and genuine entrepreneurs and influencers who require professional photos to promote their business and grow their personal brand.
I am branching my business into personal brand photography, and I’d like to work with 3 entrepreneurs at a significantly discounted rate to perfect my workflow and grow my portfolio before offering this at full price to the rest of the public.
Creating a social media presence is so crucial for growing your business! By having clean and professional photos of yourself and your brand you draw yourself apart from other businesses, attract your ideal clients and show your audience you are serious and passionate about what you do!
We’ll work together to design a custom photoshoot that perfectly reflects your brand and personal story. Let’s show your audience who you are and what you have to offer! You’ll receive 3 months worth of custom images for daily social media posting or to use anywhere you do business online. No more of those low quality cellphone photos!
The investment for this session is $500, which is much lower than I will be charging when I open this to the public in a few weeks!
But here’s the thing: I will only be taking on 3 individuals to start so I am setting a deadline of Monday, January 28th. Because I am building my portfolio, I do ask that each individual must be comfortable with signing a model release form to allow me to post your images on my page. This means extra exposure for your business!
If you know someone who would LOVE to get one of these spots, please mention them below or send this post to them. If YOU are interested, send me a message and I’ll get you booked. Spots are on a first-come, first-served basis to keep things fair. Individuals will be officially booked once payment has been received.
Thanks so much everyone! I can’t wait to help you take your businesses to the next level! “We rise by lifting others” –Robert Ingersoll🌿
Metamorphosis. The moon is in a full on eclipse and I am pondering what it means to transform oneself in a ceremony thousands of years old. It keeps reinventing itself, over and over again. There’s always a moment when a bride gets into her dress that she steps into a well worn groove of ritual. It’s my favourite part of the wedding. ❤️
✨If there is one thing that is certain in pursuing your creative passion as a business, it’s that it requires constant learning and constant growth every. Day. // If it’s not learning how to budget, organize finances, understand and plan for tax season and GST, it’s something to do with programs; Lightroom, photoshop, online gallery delivery and shops, setting prices, learning how to link accounts, cards, etc. // If it’s not learning how to navigate inquiries, set dates, sync calendars, time manage and reply to similar inquiries in a timely manner while using appropriate language that conveys your personality as well as information, it’s something to do with developing your website, undoing and redoing to accommodate your new understanding of SEO, starting chats, googling and watching countless tutorial videos on how to change settings, add media, and navigate the coding and creation of a well functioning, aesthetically pleasing, online portfolio of your work....and I could go on! // And I’m not complaining! I 100% signed up for this, but I think as I’ve slowly caught up on editing and have begun to have a little spare time to actually assess what I’ve done/am doing/will do next...the areas that I could invest in, learn and grow are truly endless // I could go to a class on any single thing listed above! And somehow you need to know them all // Man alive 😂 // I choose to take it as a joy that I get to work in a field that consistently challenges what I think I’m capable of, allowing me to grow in ways I didn’t know I could // Say, for instance, this photo, I wanted the fire to be amped up! And it required me to learn how to use overlays in photoshop, rasterize the smart files so I can adjust/edit them, warp, blur, blend high and low tones, and then somehow save them in a way that allows me to work on them in Lightroom (still don’t know how to do that last part!) // Ah well, something to add to the ever growing list I guess 😉 Holla at me if you’ve learned something new recently (or if you now how to keep a raw file RAW when exporting from photoshop 😂😂) #yegphotographer#drumheller#engagementsession#communityovercompetition
38 weeks, 4cm dilated and 60% effaced. Too much info? Sorry. We’ve had a quiet weekend resting, preparing and planning for our new little babe while soaking in what is truly the last moments with Finn as our only child. We’re officially in our final days as a family of 3!
