People assume that I eat super healthy ALL the time. When I tell people amongst all the things I teach that yoga is one of them, they think I must be vegan. .
Instead of thinking if something is healthy or not to decide on whether to eat it, I make my decisions based on #freshness and as little processed (not counting cooking & fermentation) food as possible, as much as I can, even when I travel. Sometimes I’ll #homecook meals while other times I’ll eat out. I won’t always eat the ‘healthiest choice’ when I’m out, having the occasional #fishandchips (how can you not eat that when in Great Britain?) this trip. .
I believe in being fully aware of what I put into my body and how it affects me physiologically. It is however sometimes nice to enjoy that occasional fish & chips or truffle fries. Striking that balance. #livewell#eatwell#drinkwell
Wish I had taken this photo this morning... but alas, I am sick as a dog 😪 Already felt super off yesterday afternoon and did not want to work out while feeling the sniffles coming on... but was putting it off to mild cat allergies (as I am currently cat sitting two beautiful weirdos 🐱🐱). Well, now I know that I’m sick! Will try to stay in bed and probably make some pumpkin soup later and most importantly try not to worry about not exercising and possibly overeating. It’s all good, things will get better again. This is is just a time-out 🙏🏻✨
PICTURED ON THE LEFT AGED 40, PICTURED RIGHT AGED 49. AS I AM NEARING THE BIG 50 I FEEL MUCH MORE CONFIDENT AND COMFORTABLE IN MY OWN SKIN. LOVE YOURSELF, EAT HEALTHILY, DRINK IN MODERATION AND I WILL KEEP MY OTHER FEELING AND LOOKING YOUNGER TIPS TO MYSELF FOR NOW 😉
⁉️What Comes To Mind When You Think Mediterranean🤔
The Romantic Coastal Villages in Turkey? 🇹🇷
The White Isles of Spain? 🇪🇸
The Breathtaking Villas in Italy?🇮🇹 The Crystal Waters of Greece?🇬🇷 Or perhaps it’s the amazing fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, dry-roasted nuts and seeds, chickpeas, lentils, potatoes, grains and seafood… Oh and the wine. You cannot forget the wine🍓🍐🍇🍎🥦🍅🍋🍒🍷🍷 These are just some of the things that make up the Mediterranean Diet.
The Mediterranean diet is considered one of the healthiest diets in the world and for good reasons... ✔ Vegetables are a staple part of every meal… and we mean EVERY meal. Did you know that there are over 20,000 species of vegetables in the world? But most of us only tend to eat about 20. ✔Foods such as eggs, poultry and dairy are eaten fresh and in their most pure form. In other words, the produce is locally grown and is NOT processed. ✔Wine is enjoyed in moderate doses. Wine contains an anti-oxidant called Resveratrol. Resveratrol is found in red grapes and red wine and is said to activate genes which protects the body from illnesses such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. ✔Processed foods such as soft drinks, processed meats and refined grains are either completely eliminated or intake is completely reduced
We love Mediterranean diet. Not only because of the types of foods that are identified in the diet but because the diet itself represents a lifestyle – wellness, longevity, good health, friends, family❤
A life of fresh and local ingredients, regular physically activity and the right amount of guilty pleasures that support your health and your waistline.😍 Want to know how you can adopt the Mediterranean way of life?

So as I approached another birthday despite not celebrating it, aging is on my mind. I’ve felt sluggish and unfit in my classes although I have delivered well, it has been such an enormous effort and I’m wondering if it is my age. But I’m not taking it lying down so I have reviewed that basics above and realised my routine really does need some attention. I started with a full rest day, the first in weeks. It worked wonders. #backonit
Let’s see if I can finish my forties as stronger than when I started, I’ve got a few years left to get there. 💪🏻 #lookafteryourself#sleep#hydrate#eatwell#strengthtraining#restday#40plus#dontgiveup#sisupt#personaltrainer#cottingham#eastriding#hessle#pilates

So mommy and daddy are AWAY FOR TWO NIGHTS!! 😍👏🏻🥂 My mum and dad are with the girls and we’re wondering what to put in Caylas lunch box for her... cue these pics to make their lives easier!
I got this bread in Aldi, it’s a wholemeal softbatch bread and both girls are loving it!! Great for evie while she’s teething and wants really soft things 👌🏻 There’s avocado in her sandwich for some healthy omega 3 essential fatty acids. Almond butter for Vit E, fat and protein and some extra calories. Everything else for all the micronutrients!
While we’re away I’ve made extra pancake batter for the fridge, a smoothie and smoothie pops in the freezer, pasta sauce to be used for pizza and pasta for their lunches/dinners... and of course a large jar of applesauce!
Feels REALLY weird to be leaving them for two days.. I’ve only had a night away at a time from them, and only left evie once before. EXCITING!!!!!!!!
Best way to start the week? A PEANUT 🥜 BUTTA COOKIE SKILLET 😍(gluten/dairy/refined sugar free/low FODMAP). The (sloooow) transition into fall weather has made me the happiest 🐣 because me and 65 degree weather go together like the peanut butter + chocolate here 😋 RECIPE from @erinliveswhole 👇
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup almond flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt (if peanut butter is unsalted, otherwise omit)
(I also added a handful of flaxseed and some cinnamon!)
1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (I used @paschachocolate 100% cacao chips)
mix the wet ingredients and add in the dry ingredients, then pour into a greased skillet (I used coconut oil) and bake for 16-18 minutes at 350! then eat some straight from the skillet to save a yourself a plate 😉.
Another week, another bath of @hummusapien’s overnight steel cut oats to keep the hanger away. 🙌 Toppings of the day include banana slices, cacao nibs, @purely_elizabeth pumpkin spice granola (tis the season!), and peanut butter.
